WRM is a music charity supporting and enabling local communities and individuals to realise their music making ambitions and initiatives. Our many rural outreach programmes aim to widen music participation in music through high quality performances, workshops and activities. In recent years these outreach projects have included:

- 'Music On Your Doorstep' - full-day events in villages and towns throughout the county, focusing on participation, interaction with instruments and digital music tech.
- 'Music On The Move' - a collaboration with Wiltshire Mobile Libraries, bringing live educational events and concerts into rarely-visited villages, schools and town halls.
- 'Keep Music In Mind' -based on research into the power of music for those living with dementia in older generations especially, musicians perform live in care and residential homes, as well as dementia members' clubs and more.
- 'Visible Voices' - songwriters and musicians work together with organisations such as drop-in centres for the homeless, Alzheimer's Support, LGBTQ+ charities and Black Families to write songs based on personal experience and stories from within those organisations and groups. Other aspects of our work include;

- Bursaries and Awards for adults and young people, including the Liz Lawrence
Award and concert
- Weekly Ensembles
- Events and Workshops
- Monthly concerts featuring the best local musicians in Tune@Noon
- Room Hire for teaching/rehearsing/performing
- Instrument Hire for all ages and abilities

As a charity we rely on generous support from our beneficiaries and the general public. Please visit our website to find out more about us.

Yesterday Sue Lord played an hour of solo violin music to the members of Chippenham Day Centre. After a big lunch the audience were quiet and reflective, eyes were closed as Sue moved through classical pieces and more popular tunes. Thank you to Chippenham Area Board through Our Wiltshire (Wiltshire Council) for funding this session which was one of 6. We will be sending more musicians to the Day Centre in the coming months, meaning they can enjoy a wide programme of entertainment after their busy morning's activities!
