Trowbridge and Devizes Freegle A local community online reuse group to help keep still usable items out of landfill. Simples!!

Devizes Freegle was set up to encourage more people to recycle their unwanted goods rather than send them to landfill. At the moment the Hopton Road Waste Site only takes items for recycling/landfill and so perfectly good items are destroyed, taken out of the public domain and encouraging more spending on new goods. The Freegle website makes it easy for anyone to offer their items (and by the same

token, to ask for something) by allowing you to advertise your item, someone then sees the item and contacts you by email and you choose who to give it to (if there are multiple applications); this is the hardest bit, without any knowledge of the person enquiring we have to make a decision! Whoever is offered the item must then make arrangements with you to collect it.
