Today (25th Oct) is our last day of opening for this season. We are open from 10:00-16:00 with free entry.

Today is very windy but hopefully we will warm you up with our friendly atmosphere and a cup of tea.

Today (24th Oct) we had the pleasure of hosting the daughter of Waldemar J Theefs to the 306th Bombardment Group Museum.

Waldemar was assigned to the 367th BS and is an original member of the 306th BG.

He Kept records of bombs coming in, on hand, and issued , and bombs dropped on target, handled correspondance pertaining to all ordnance material.
Supervised the inspection, repairing, and cleaning of all small arms from Cal. 50 machine guns and down.

As we approach our last open day at the 306th Bombardment Group Museum this Sunday (25th October), we would like to extend our warmest thanks for your Visits and support over this season, it has meant we have had our best year yet. During the Winter period we will be undergoing changes in the Museum to set up for our 25th Anniversary in 2027.

We will post updates in due course about details and events in 2027.

The Primary reason for the Museum to be in existence is to Honour all those that served at Station 111 at Thurleigh, home of the 306th BG.

Today (18th Oct) the 306th Bombardment Group Museum is open from 10:00-16:00 with free entry.

We will close for the winter after our last Sunday 25th October which will also be the day for the Car Meet.

This week we will have restricted areas due to the Radiators being replaced in the week, so workers and white paint will be part of the displays!!!

Today (27th Sept) at the 306th Bombardment Group Museum we had the wonderful pleasure of hosting the family of Arthur S Cruff who reported to the 306th BG on the 27th Nov 1943 as part of the 367th BS as an Engineer.

This Sunday 27th September come up see us at the 306th Bombardment Group Museum

This Sunday we’re back at the 306th Bombardment museum in Thurleigh for our classic and American car meet, there will be tea, coffee and rolls available.
It’s free to park up and to get into the museum, come and join us for our penultimate meeting of the year.
All parking is hardstanding with dedicated areas for pre 80s classic and American.

Today (20th Sep) we hosted at the 306th Bombardment Group Museum the family of Virgil Dingman who reported to Thurleigh Station 111 on the 25th Feb 1944 he joined the 367th BS as a Pilot. He completed 23 missions before being shot down on a mission to Noyen on the 17th Jun 1944, Virgil was reported as MIA. Virgil actually managed to Evade and stay with Robert and Marie Rose Beaudoin.
