🎉 A huge thank you to Dave 🎉

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Dave, who chose to celebrate his incredible 90th birthday in a truly generous way - by raising vital funds for Carers in Bedfordshire. 💚

Thanks to the kindness of Dave and everyone who attended his celebration, an amazing £855 was raised to support unpaid Carers in our community. These funds will make a real difference, helping us continue to provide support, connection and vital services to those who need it most.

Dave, your generosity and thoughtfulness are inspiring, and we are so grateful for your support.

Congratulations to Dave Ellott on receiving a Special Recognition Award for his incredible volunteering 👏

Dave has supported Carers in Bedfordshire for over 16 years - helping to raise funds, advocate and make a real difference for Carers across our community.

Liz Goddard was pleased to represent our volunteers at the Flitwick Mayor’s Civic Reception last Friday. It was a lovely evening and a great reminder of how much generosity and community spirit there is locally.

It was a particular pleasure to see Dave recognised on the night, with special mention of his work supporting Carers. 💚

Carers in Bedfordshire is proud to be launching support for Carers in Luton. For over 20 years, we’ve walked alongside Carers, listening to what matters most and shaping support that is compassionate, practical and rooted in real experiences.

As we begin this journey in Luton, we’re building on that strong foundation while creating a local identity that keeps the same values and trust you know us for.

Right now, we’re working behind the scenes - preparing our team, setting up services and making sure everything is ready to deliver the high-quality support Carers deserve. You may not see us everywhere just yet, but we’ll soon be out in the community, listening and shaping services with you at the heart.

This is the start of something new, built on decades of commitment - making sure no one feels they are caring alone.

Meet Tracy 💚

A former Carer, volunteer, and now an incredible fundraiser for Young Carers in Bedfordshire.

Tracy has set herself a powerful challenge - walking 60 miles before her 60th birthday. From trips to the shops to walks with friends, every step is helping raise funds for young people who are caring for someone at home.

After caring for her dad during Covid, Tracy understands first-hand the impact caring can have on mental health and wellbeing. With support from Carers in Bedfordshire, she found a community and now she’s giving back.

Her fundraising will help create more opportunities for Young Carers to take a break, build friendships and enjoy activities like forest school, trips out, and music sessions 🎶

These moments matter more than you might think.

💬 Tracy is also inviting others to join her - whether that’s a walk, a coffee, or simply supporting her journey.

🚀 Blast off with our Young Carers!

What an incredible day at the National Space Centre 🌌

Our Young Carers took part in an out-of-this-world adventure - exploring rockets, discovering galaxies, and stepping into the shoes of astronauts for the day. From the planetarium show to hands-on exhibits, it was a day full of learning, laughter and unforgettable memories.

These trips give Young Carers the chance to take a well-deserved break, meet others who understand their journey, and simply enjoy being young 💜

This event was fully subscribed - thank you to everyone who joined us and made it so special!
