Keysoe Café

A few questions have been popping up on Facebook about visiting the Cafe once the main access to the woodland moves.

The Cafe has kindly confirmed the following :-

“Good evening everyone. We would be delighted to still welcome anyone walking up to our cafe from the new proposed car park or alternatively please feel welcome to drive around to our existing entrance and park in our main car park. Thank you for your ongoing custom.”

On Friday we saw a couple of visitors from Keysoe International...

This is Teddy and Winston, two beautiful Shetland Ponies, together with their handlers.

They attended at the request of the lady who was burying her husband that afternoon, and it was such a welcome release for everyone.

It was suggested that it might be a good idea for them to attend when young people or children are going to be at a burial. What a lovely idea. Keysoe International only asks for a donation.

The People's Awards - Regional Winner 2026

It feels really special when people thank and praise all our work. So imagine our surprise when we learnt that we were the Regional Winners of 2026!

This is only possible thanks to all the hard work of our volunteers, Trustees, and of course, the families of the loved ones resting amongst our glades.

Thank you.

New Entrance and Car Park for the Woodland

On Monday evening, planning permission was granted for a new entrance and 20 space car park at the woodland. Once work is completed, access to the Woodland will be from Keysoe Row West and no longer via the Equestrian Centre - the approximate position is shown in bright green on the image below.

The work will start imminently and shouldn't take too long. Please accept our apologies in advance for any noise and disruption that may result.

Our thanks go to everyone who supported the application and in particular Keysoe International Limited for all their time and hard work.

A few New Year photos that were taken today. Thank you Barry Southam for sharing these with us.

It’s moments, captured like this, that highlight how beautiful and stunning the woodland is all year round.

It’s hard to believe that in a few weeks time spring will poke its head out and those fresh, green, vibrant shoots will make an appearance, together with an abundance of new wildlife.

Pencil in a time to visit and just enjoy the solitude, peace and tranquility that a natural woodland offers.

Annual Christmas Clear Up!

We are planning to have our annual Christmas clear up on Saturday 17th January at 11.00a.m. Volunteers are welcome!

It can be quite heartbreaking because we need to remove wreaths and tributes which have been left over Christmas - most of which contain metals and plastics. This is an essential part of keeping a woodland natural and reducing the risk to wildlife which forages in the glades.

Only fresh flowers (without wrappings) left in the bamboo bio pots (which we supply and insert in the ground for you) are considered acceptable.

It will take us about an hour if we have some supporters. Volunteers are encouraged to bring wellingtons and gloves.

The waiting is over, Christmas 2025 has finally arrived!

From all of us here, we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Christmas is a very difficult time for many of us, our feelings and emotions are heightened as memories of our departed loved ones return.

Grief can be overwhleming and whilst time may help, it certainly never allow us to forget. So, please reach out to friends, relatives, and colleagues who have experienced loss. It makes all the difference.
