World Blood Donor Day - and for the ITP community, it carries a very particular meaning.

Many of us have sat on the receiving end of transfusions, or know someone who has. Donated blood and platelets are, quite literally, life-saving for people whose own counts have fallen dangerously low.

While most people with ITP are unable to donate themselves, today is a chance to thank the people who do, and to share why it matters so much.

If you have ever received a transfusion, or if a family member has, we would love to hear your story in the comments. πŸ‘‡πŸ’œ
