Next week, we will be running our SEND Stay and Play on Thursday morning at The Meadow.

We also have our SEND Social Club on Thursday evening at The Punjabi Community Centre. Please email to book a place.

Swindon SEND Families Voice would like to share the following comms on behalf of Swindon Borough Council Travel Team

Parents can contact the Travel Team directly via the phone between 7am–9am and 3pm–5pm.

Parents can also contact the team via the Education Travel inbox if they are unable to get through by phone.

Swindon SEND Families Voice are holding their next SEND Social Club on the 10th September at the Punjabi Community Centre.

The charge for a young person will be £5 which includes free admission of 1 carer.

Additional carers and YP will be £2.50 each.

Booking is essential - all details are on the poster. Please confirm how many parents/carers will be attending and how many young people and their ages.

Swindon SEND Families Voice would like to share the following comms about Direct Payments from the 1st Sept 2026;

The new All Age Direct Payment Support Service starts on Tuesday 1st September and will be delivered by People Places Lives (PPL)

The Swindon Team will be working on all legacy Enham and Excel individuals and will be contacting all individuals to:

-arrange the set-up of a Direct Debit for any client contribution going forward
-Share the new contact details above
-Confirm that the process for submitting timesheets remains unchanged
-Ask the employer to forward a PPL bank details form onto their employees for completion

Swindon SEND Families Voice held another SEND Social Club during the summer holidays. It wasn’t as busy as usual, but it was wonderful to see our young people building new friendships and carers taking a moment to relax.

Nick joined us with his ice cream van, adding a sweet touch to a lovely evening.
