Help Keep The Hub Open

We need your help.

Since reopening in our new building, we’ve had consistently fantastic feedback about The Hub and what we’re trying to achieve. But it’s been a challenging summer. The UK heatwaves have affected shops and high streets nationally, and after a period of closure while we moved buildings, we’re now facing the additional challenge of covering rent with reduced space.

We’ve kept our prices as low as possible because we want sustainable choices to be affordable and accessible to everyone.

We’re not a traditional charity shop raising funds for another cause. The Hub is the cause. We operate as a Community Benefit Society, here to offer our community practical, sustainable alternatives: keeping useful things in use, making second-hand shopping affordable, sharing resources through our craft room, and reducing single-use plastic through ethical, affordable refills.

If you value what The Hub offers, please shop with us, use our refill service and craft room, tell your friends and share our posts.

Every purchase makes a difference.

We want to stay open and continue providing this resource for our community — but without enough custom, we simply can’t.

If you’d like to find out more or have your say, you can attend our Annual General Meeting as a guest on Tuesday 29th September at 7pm at Shrivenham Methodist Church.
