UPDATE ON JAMES' CHALLENGE

this is the latest - as we head towards 100 miles in the pool at Ammanford since James first challenge in 2022-23, the ironman challenge.

He has also done over 500 miles on the side-by-side handcycle.

8th July = 54 lengths today, taking his overall total in 206 swimming sessions to 95 miles and 45 lengths.

You can follow James and Dereks journey via us or the donation link!

CHAP IN THE BOX Peak Performance Wales

MEET JAMES AND DEREK!

Since starting his latest challenge James has swam 522 lengths in 12 sessions, this is 8.15 miles.

His target is 1664 lengths, 26 miles in 50 sessions or less. He is currently on target to do the distance in 38 sessions.

Two weeks ago James did a mile in the pool for the first time ever, it took him 2 hrs and 34 minutes to do, using the noodle and His one good arm. James' legs don't work and he cannot see so he follows the voice of Derek his one to one support who is in the pool with him.

After not swimming last week due to a cold going onto his chest, James is back on track and swam 80 lengths this week in his two sessions, 48 + 32.

James is swimming to help Bikeability Wales be available for others in the surrounding area.

Thanks for your continued support - if you wish to donate the link is attached below.
