Bird Feeding:

We've received feedback from residents about bread being thrown for birds.

We are currently experiencing issues with mice and rats. While feeding birds can be enjoyable, uneaten food on the ground can attract unwanted pests.

The RSPB advises that bread should only be given occasionally and in small amounts, as it has little nutritional value for birds. https://www.rspb.org.uk/whats-happening/news/how-to-help-garden-birds

Please help keep our community clean, healthy, and welcoming for both wildlife and residents. Share with neighbours who may not use social media.

We all want to help birds and make our gardens or outdoor spaces a place where all wildlife can thrive. But some species, such as Greenfinches, are experiencing serious declines because of disease.

Look what we found! This vintage sewing machine tucked away in the cellar!

Does anyone know anything about its history or where it came from?

We’ve cleaned it up and plan to get a new belt fitted so the Craft Group can get creative with it again!

PCs McBain and Robertson Police Scotland Lanarkshire will be hosting a drop-in session this Wednesday 6th May at Auchinloch Community Centre, between 7 and 8 pm

This is an opportunity for residents to drop in and have an informal chat with officers, ask questions or raise any concerns.
