Site works have begun on our woodland in Inverclyde, shaped by community input and a desire to improve accessibility alongside creating more diverse habitats for wildlife. Works taking place include improving habitat diversity by planting new oak woodland, creating areas of wet woodland, digging wader scrapes and planting pollinator-friendly wildflower meadows.
Community consultations showed that locals wanted: ‘better habitats for wildlife and plants,’ and ‘tree planting (done sensitively)’.
