Geraldine from Wishaw recently visited Blair Drummond Safari park with her staff and friends from the Friends For You club that she likes to attend every week.

Geraldine enjoyed the safari drive through where she saw monkeys, rhinos, camels and the lions. She particularly enjoyed seeing the meercats.

She also enjoyed the scenic train ride through the park and spotted deer and lemurs.

They visited the parks restaurant to relax with a coffee and bite to eat, followed by some ice cream before enjoying a nice wee walk around the park to end their day.

Geraldine also attended the Friends For You ball, and received an award which takes pride of place in her livingroom. She sat with her friend Lesley and appeared to enjoy her time there dancing and seeing everyone there from the club. There was a great buffet provided which Geraldine really enjoyed too. Staff assisted Geraldine to get all glammed up for the big night, and it seemed that everyone there had a ball!

If you're seeking employment in North and East Fife and interested in a role with The Richmond Fellowship Scotland this will be a great opportunity to find out more about the roles TRFS currently has in that area.

No pre-booking is required and we expected this to be a well-attended session, so some patience may be required to speaking to a member of the team.

At Teviot Court, Megan's dad has been helping her paint her garden and get it ready for the summer. Megan painted some of it herself but then decided to dye her hair and let her dad finish! 😂

Megan also went for a tour at Hampden Park and called her dad when she was there to make him jealous! Megan loved going around Hampden and taking lots of pictures!

It's only one week until the first 'Healthy Minds Wander' walk organised by our Midlothian services. They would love for as many people we support and their staff to join them. The more the merrier and they are hopeful of some lovely weather! 🌞

Marlon’s bedroom looks warm and full of life, with his beautiful artwork proudly displayed on the wall. Each painting told a little story of his creativity, imagination, and the joy he feels when expressing himself through art. The bright colours and bold brush strokes brought energy to the room, making it feel truly personal and special.

Looking at his artwork hanging neatly in frames shows just how talented and unique Marlon is. It was more than decoration it was a celebration of his confidence, hard work, and the happiness he experiences during creative activities. His room now feels like a gallery filled with love, achievement, and wonderful memories.

Thanks to the Fun Team for organising the arts and crafts sessions.

Linda from our Torbrex Service enjoyed a fantastic evening attending ‘Sounds of the 60s’ at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, where a range of 1960s classics were performed live by the Sounds of the 60s All Star Band and Singers. Looking very smart in her blazer and top, Linda was in great spirits from the start of the journey, smiling, chatting and showing plenty of excitement on the train. She was buzzing throughout the evening, singing along to familiar songs, and clearly enjoying the atmosphere. It was wonderful to see Linda so happy, confident and involved, making the most of a memorable night of live music and entertainment.

Peter from our Burns Road service loves to see the big cruise ships coming into Greenock and takes every opportunity to go down and take photographs of them. He also loves to get a picture of himself and the ships. This is something he loves to do with support staff and it, on this particular day, Peter was supported by William down to the ship. Peter gets a lot of enjoyment out of this.

Thank you to everyone who participated and donated to Teviot Court's sponsored walk to raise funds for our sensory garden. We raised a huge £2,768!! Staff and supported individuals walked up to 7k on the day and we definitely got the best weather possible for the occasion.

The garden work is underway and we are excited to show the finished result. Look out for us posting our celebrations! 🙂
