We thought we would provide an update on our group calendar.
We have decided not to produce a calendar this year, instead we are going to focus on a couple of different events.

The first is a pub quiz to be held in the damson pub on Friday 13th November - see poster below.

Then two of our members, Alan Sheriff & John Adams have written a brand new book about Elmdon park. It’s currently at the printers and we are hoping that we will receive the books before Xmas for us to sell in the community.

All monies raised will be going towards the good of the park. This will hopefully include sports/play equipment for older children /youngsters.

We would very much appreciate your support in sharing this news with all you know

Please remember to check the car park closing time on both elmdon park car parks they are about to change.if you get locked in you will not get out till the morning unlocking,the council are very strict on this due to anti social behavior in the carparks at this time of year.there are lot of sign about the area some please be aware of new rules.

News from the Council in light of recent antisocial behaviour:

From Tuesday 13 October, new gate-locking arrangements will apply at both Elmdon Park car parks. Gates will close at 8pm from April to October and 4pm from November to March. Please make sure you leave before the closing time, as vehicles remaining when the gates are locked may not be able to leave until the gates reopen the following morning by 8am. New signage will be in place to remind visitors.

In answer to the rumors about JLR AND THE COUNCIL FILLING IN ELMDON LAKE. WE RECEIVED THIS E/M TODAY FROM THE COUNCIL DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PARKS AND GREEN SPACES WE HOPE THIS PUTS TO BED THE RUMORS ONCE AND FOR ALL.

The ditches around the park serve two jobs, one stop cars getting on the park, two they act as wild flower areas please do not pick theses flower as they need to reseed for next years flowers.
While they are nice please leave them for next years seed.

A set of keys were found on a bench in the park they have been left on the trellis by the notice board at twitter triangle

Funds going towards the Elmdon Park defibrillator.
This has already been used during a medical emergency at the park. A really valuable resource.

While Epsg respects the right of free speech. We feel that the park should remain free from politics ,and would be grateful if all park users respected our green space for what it is, a place for children to explore and mature, adults a place to relax and recharge
