🚒 Sheldon Fire Station Open Day – Celebrating 70 Years of Service! 🎉
Join us as we celebrate Sheldon Fire Station's 70th Birthday with a fantastic Station Open Day on Saturday 29th August 2026, from 11:00am to 3:00pm at Garretts Green Lane, B33 0SE.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the local community to meet your firefighters, explore our fire engines, and discover the vital work that West Midlands Fire Service carries out every day. Learn more about our Prevention, Protection and Response activities and how we work together to keep our communities safe.
There'll be something for everyone, including:
🔥 Live emergency demonstrations
🚒 Fire engines and specialist vehicles
🎡 Fun fair rides
🍔 Food and refreshments
🎪 Community and charity stalls
🎯 Family-friendly games and activities
All proceeds from the day will go towards charity, helping support great causes within our community.
Whether you're interested in the fire service, looking for a fun family day out, or simply want to celebrate this special milestone with us, we'd love to see you there.

Scouts finished off their photography badge tonight and learned the power of editing, everyone had a go at editing the same picture and the difference in the end results is incredible!

Happy 14th Birthday to 1st Sheldon 144th Birmingham Wednesday Beavers!

When we opened our doors on 23rd May 2012, Ahmeek was just 22 years old, full of excitement, and maybe a little nervous energy!! Fourteen years later, the Colony is still here, and what a journey it’s been!

Ahmeek is so grateful to everyone who’s helped along the way, whether your support was big or small, it’s meant the world. She's learnt so much, grown in ways she'd never imagined, and is incredibly proud of what we’ve built together.

Here’s to all the Beavers past and present, and to the adventures still to come 💙
