We’ll be at Playday tomorrow with the youth bus for Streets Studio!

YO Solihull is once again celebrating National Playday - Wednesday 5th August 12-4pm
(there is no access to the field before midday due to stall holder vehicles being onsite).

PLEASE WALK - there is no parking on-site or on the surrounding verges (this is part of our event agreement so please help us to continue running the event by respecting the parking rules). Blue badge parking is available.

Parking is available nearby. Please be mindful of local residents and use Chelmsley Town Centre Parking or North Solihull Sports Centre is only a short walk away.

📢 Solihull CEP Tea Party: Callout for Artists & Organisations! 📢
We are looking for creative organisations and individuals to join us at this years Tea Party!

This is a fantastic opportunity to promote your projects and services directly to schools and youth services from across Solihull and beyond. Previous years have seen nearly 100 visitors engaging directly with the artists, makers and organisations at this Arts Fair.

This month we have been delivering our Home Education arts month, funded by the Arts Society Solihull!

We have delivered 15 sessions in:
💃 Creative Movement, with Giraffe Dance
🎨 Visual Arts with Mark Riley
🎨 Glass with Melissas Melting Pot
🎶 DJing with Sophie Lou
🎬 Filmmaking with Tiger Features
📖 Young Entrepreneurs with Katie Holtom

We have had some fantastic feedback from parents and young people:

We are delighted at the success of this project in not only allowing access to unique arts experiences for young people, but also in its ability to support wellbeing, social connection and community for home educated young people and their families.

14 - 18 years old and want to boost your CV this summer? We are partnering with University of Warwick to launch a work experience programme to improve your research skills.

There are two placements, both lasting five days, for any young person who lives or goes to school in Solihull. Both placements will run from 10:00am to 2:30pm each day.

Dates:
· Youth Unemployment Project - Monday 29 June to Friday 3 July
· North Solihull Youth Offer - from Monday 20 July to Friday 24 July

Work experience details:
· Develop peer research and consultation plan
· Work in the community asking people’s views and opinions
· Bring findings together and present them to the team
· Session from a Professor of Warwick University on Peer Research
