Provincial Grand Lodge of Shropshire - There are 37 Lodges that meet in this county under the banner of the United Grand Lodge of England.

We have centres all over the county, meeting on various days of the week.

Teme Lodge No.4267 had their induction meeting on the 27th October to install W.Bro Darren McNeil into the chair of king Solomon with presiding provincial officer APGM W.Bro Stephen Rogers with host of Provincial officers to accompany him, a brilliant night had by all.
Many congratulations and have a great year ahead!

Food, Fun and Friendship.

On Tuesday 27th October, St Mary’s Lodge 8373 held a fantastic curry night in aid of the 2030 Festival.

Organised by W.Bro Clive Jones, a wonderful evening of fun, laughter and beautiful food was had at the Oruna Cuisine in Market Drayton.

All monies from this event will go towards St Mary’s target for the festival. A superb £1,000 was raised towards the festival and W.Bro Clive would like to thank everyone for their attendance and would like to recognise the hard work and commitment of the Brethren but in particular W.Bro Mark King, Bro Steve Rowe and Harry Allie.

St Mary’s Lodge is a fun loving lodge and over the next few months they will have many social events to attend. These include Christmas Dinners, Burns Night celebrations, Quizes, BBQ and Teddy Bears Picnic and a Ladies Luncheon.
The next social will be the Christmas Dinner on Saturday 12th December at the Beacon Centre in Market Drayton. Details will be published soon.
We’ll also be to all involved, looks like a superb evening was had!!

On Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th October W.Bro Clive Jones MBE the Worshipful Master of St Mary’s Lodge 8373 and Bro Trevor Parr the Senior Warden of The Clive Lodge 1575 were pictured together selling Poppies in their local Morrisons store in Market Drayton.
Clive a former Welsh Guardsman and Trevor a former member of the Staffordshire Regiment stood in Morrisons for several hours and collected much needed funds for the Royal British Legions Poppy Appeal.
Clive, a Royal British Legion Ambassador and Trevor, The Deputy Poppy Appeal Organiser for Market Drayton have manned these stalls for many a year and as Veterans, Friends and Brothers together show Camaraderie between the two respective Lodges of which they are both members.

Both Clive and Trevor commented on the kindness and indeed the generosity of those living in Market Drayton and the surrounding areas.

Wear your Poppy with Pride, Lest we Forget.

Fitz Alan Lodge Ladies Night 2026!!

What a wonderful Ladies' Night we had on Saturday 24th October at Freemasons Hall in Oswestry. Black tie and ball gowns, great company, and a fantastic evening raising funds for Hope House.

A huge thank you to our generous sponsors, whose prizes made the night so special, from fabulous Pembrokeshire weekend, a vintage bottle of Dom Pérignon to a Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge experience, Golf at the Belfry to name but a few!
£1400 raised at the auction, total figure including the raffle raised £2,612!! also we auctioned off a teddy which raised £200 which will go to Teddies for loving care

Congratulations to everyone who took home a prize!

Well done to the Shropshire Widows Sons who braved the weather to deliver the Provincial wreath to the National Memorial Arboretum on Saturday.

A brilliant social event was held by the Salopian Lodge of Charity No. 117 on 21st October, where they hosted an Indian Evening at Freemasons Hall Shrewsbury.

The evening consisted of authentic Indian music, with drummers and dancing, along with some excellent Indian food. The evening was well attended with over 65 people enjoying the evening, and also taking part in the dancing. A raffle was also held, generating a healthy amount of £700 towards the Lodges 2030 festival target.

It seems we have some rather good Masonic “movers” in our membership…”

Arrow and Teme Lodges Ladies' Festival Evening

A wonderful evening was enjoyed by all at the Causeway Golf Club in Hereford as Arrow and Teme Lodges came together to say thank you to the wives, partners and friends of Freemasonry.

Good food, good company and plenty of smiles all round made for a truly memorable night. A special thank you to W.Bro Dave Hedley and his wife Trish for all their hard work in making the evening such a success.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to celebrating together again.

St Mary's Lodge No 8373 presents: Demystifying our Ceremony of Initiation

Join us on Wednesday 28 October at 6.00pm at the Beacon Community Centre, Prospect Road, Market Drayton.

W Bro Kim March, Lewis Masonic author and writer for new and inexperienced Brethren, will give a short talk on the origins and meaning of our Ceremony of Initiation. He'll cover our preparation, entrance into the Lodge, and many of the Ceremony's core elements, including why we lead off with the left foot, the 24-inch gauge, and the Badge of Innocence.

Kim will also take questions and sign copies of his books. Every penny of book sales on the day will go to our Festival 2030. There is absolutely no obligation to purchase.
