Repair Cafe Llanelli

19/09/2026

Today marks 5 years of Repair Cafe Llanelli!

In that time we have fixed over 500 items and saved them from landfill ♻️🎉, not bad for a random idea I had mid lockdown.

Thank you to all my wonderful volunteers, past and present! (Some of which I cannot tag here). Without whom I would just be wandering round with a list as I'm not a fixer 🤣

Thanks to Llanelli Railway Goods Shed Trust for hosting us each month and to Repair Cafe Wales for the guidance and support.

A quiet day today, but one of our fixes was Ted, a 60 year old teddy bear who had a broken arm and some worn patches. He's now restored back to life ♡

Our next session is on Saturday 19th Sept, 10am to midday at Llanelli Railway Goods Shed Trust.

We may be limited on doing electrical repairs due to fewer fixers than normal this month.

Repair isn’t just practical, it’s a little bit rebellious. 🛠️✨

In a world that tells us to buy new, replace quickly, and throw things away, choosing to repair is a quiet act of resistance.
