We had the absolute best time celebrating at the annual Kent County Show Awards Night! 🏆✨

It was such a wonderful evening catching up with friends, looking back on unforgettable memories from the show, and celebrating all the hard work and success in the ring.

🏅 To our unbelievable team and young people: A massive congratulations to everyone who took home a trophy, and a huge round of applause to everyone who took part, supported their fellow young farmers. Your dedication, effort, and passion make us proud every single day!

🤝 To our amazing supporters: We couldn’t do what we do without you. A heartfelt thank you to all of our sponsors and supporters at the Kent County Show, as well as the Kent County Agricultural Society, Humphries and Park, and Biddenden Vineyards for supporting a fantastic awards night!

🏆 Kent County Show Awards Night! 🏆

On Friday, we all got together for our annual Kent County Show awards night!

It was a fantastic opportunity to catch up with friends, celebrate our successes in the show ring and look back on some great memories from a wonderful weekend.

We would like to say a huge congratulations to all those who received a trophy for their efforts at the Show and to EVERYONE who took part over the Kent County Show!

We would also like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all those who sponsored or supported us at the Kent County Show and to the Kent County Agricultural Society Kent County Show, Humphries and Parks and Biddenden Vineyards for supporting our Awards Night!

To all of our incredible Curly’s Farm neighbours—THANK YOU! 🫶

This evening around 9 PM, in the pitch black, I got a call from a concerned neighbour reporting a light moving around the farm when no one should have been here.

Safety first: I put on my personal tracker so the farm team could monitor my movements and headed out with the dogs to investigate. Thankfully, we didn't find any unwelcome intruders!

What touched me the most was what happened while I was out there. So many of you came out into your gardens, shone your torches, called out to check who I was, and even rang my mobile to warn me that someone was walking around the farm.

Tonight proved a few wonderful things:
• Our neighbours truly care.
• You’ve always got our back.
• Community vigilance works!

It is so reassuring to know the farm is in such great hands with a community like you watching over it.

We appreciate every single one of you!

🐝🌼 A huge thank you to Sarah from Three Wardens' Honey for coming along to Curly’s Young Farmers Club and putting on such a fantastic workshop for us!

We really appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge, experience and passion for beekeeping with the group. Everyone had a brilliant time and it was great to learn more about bees and the important role they play. 🐝🍯

👩‍🏫 QUALIFIED TEACHER (QTS)
We’re looking for a creative, enthusiastic teacher with SEND experience to deliver a personalised curriculum that brings learning to life. From English and Maths to practical outdoor learning, you’ll help our young people achieve their EHCP outcomes in a truly unique setting.

🐐 LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS (LSAs)

We’re also looking to grow our fantastic support team. If you have patience, empathy and a passion for helping young people succeed, this role involves supporting pupils through practical farm-based learning — developing life skills, building confidence and preparing them for adulthood in a meaningful, hands-on environment.

Thank you so much to our fantastic friends over at The Patch cic for sharing the updates! 💚

We couldn't be happier to see the eggs we sent over hatching into such healthy, happy little ducklings under that brilliant broody hen. Seeing them thrive alongside Java and Lombok is just wonderful! 🦆✨

Our own fully grown Indian Runners here at Curly’s Farm send all their quacks and to their feather-footed family over at The Patch. We can't wait to see what amazing names everyone comes up with for the new additions (especially the Pom Pom)!

🐷 CURLY’S YOUNG FARMERS CLUB 🐷
Got mud-loving, animal-mad kids or teens looking for something new? Come and join the herd! 🐑🚜
We’re a hands-on, get-stuck-in club open to anyone aged 10–28. From feeding and mucking out to breeding and showing, plus everything else the great outdoors has to offer — if it happens on a farm or in the countryside, we’re probably doing it! As a club we head out to county training days, competitions, and farm-focused trips throughout the year.
We’re proud to be part of the Kent Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs, itself part of the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs 🌎 — so joining us connects you to a brilliant community of young farmers right across the county and the country.
🐮 Our farm is home to a fantastic mix of characters — sheep, cattle, pigs, goats, alpacas, and all sorts of poultry — and there’s always a job (or a cuddle) waiting with one of them!
🕔 We meet every Wednesday, 5–7pm (term time only)

🌟 JULY CLUB SPOTLIGHT: CURLY’S YFC 🌟

📍 Isle of Sheppey, Kent

👋 Who are we?
We’re Curly’s Young Farmers Club, proudly based on the Isle of Sheppey – the first and only YFC club in the area! 🌾 We meet every Wednesday from 5:00pm–7:00pm and currently have 31 members, with our club continuing to grow! 🙌

Inclusive • Hands-on • Animal Mad 🐑🐖🐐

🐄 What do we get up to?
We’re a fully hands-on club, giving our members the opportunity to work with a wide variety of livestock on the farm. Whether it’s learning new skills, caring for animals or getting stuck into practical activities, there’s always something exciting happening! 🌟

🏆 Our highlight
Our biggest achievement this year has to be being crowned Overall Winners at Kent County Show! 🥇 Our members’ commitment, passion and hard work truly paid off and it’s a fantastic reflection of how much our club has grown.
