Our annual Masonic Ladies Night was held on the evening of Saturday 18th April and proved to be a truly memorable occasion, celebrating companionship, appreciation, and the longstanding traditions of the Lodge. Brethren, partners, family members, and guests gathered for an elegant and enjoyable night that highlighted the spirit of unity at the heart of Freemasonry.

The evening began with a warm welcome from the Worshipful Master and his wife Sally. Guests were then invited to enjoy a reception and complimentary fizz, providing an opportunity for socialising and meeting friends old and new.

Guests then made their way to the dining hall where they were introduced to the Worship Master and his wife by acting DC W Bro. Andy Carter.

A beautifully prepared five‑course meal was served, with guests praising both the quality of the food and the attentive service. The atmosphere throughout dinner was lively and full of good humour, reflecting the strong bonds within the Lodge community.

The traditional toasts were delivered with sincerity by the Worshipful Master, followed by the toast to the Ladies prosed with sincerity by our JW W Bro. Henry Ryan.

The Ladies’ Song was performed with enthusiasm by our SW Bro. Aaron Janes and the response from the Ladies’ representative was warm, humorous, and well‑received, capturing the supportive partnership that underpins the event.

Following the meal, entertainment was provided in the form of live music and dancing. The Worshipful Master and his wife Sally took the dance floor for the first dance, quickly followed by other guests. The dance floor remained busy throughout the evening, with guests embracing the chance to celebrate and enjoy themselves.

A raffle was drawn later in the evening, with a generous selection of prizes donated by members and local businesses. The raffle raised a commendable sum for the Lodge’s chosen charity, reflecting the ongoing commitment to supporting good causes within the community.

The evening then continued with more music, dancing, laughter and most importantly more wine! 😁🍷🥂

The evening drew to a close with Auld Lang Syne and the Worshipful Master offered heartfelt thanks to everyone that has supported him throughout his year in office and to the ladies for their patience, encouragement, and understanding, recognizing the important part they play in enabling the Lodge to carry out its charitable and fraternal work.

Guests departed in high spirits, many commenting on the warm atmosphere and excellent organisation.

The Masonic Ladies Night once again proved to be a highlight of the Lodge’s social calendar, celebrating friendship, gratitude, and the shared values that bring members and their families together.

Apologies for the late report........
Last Wednesday 25th February was Adams Chapter Installation Convocation.
The chapter was opened in due form and we then welcomed Excellent Companion Michael (MIki Travis) Arther Smith PAGDC ProvGCHStwd as the representative of the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent. Thanks were then given by MEZ to his officers of the year for their help and support.
Each Principal then took their obligation, promising to uphold the statutes of the Order and guide the Chapter with wisdom and fidelity. E.Comp Steve Dawson was installed as our new MEZ followed by E.Comp Malcolm Brooks (H) and E.Comp Andy Carter (J). Officers present were then appointed.
Following the close of the Chapter, the Companions retired to the Festive Board. The room was filled with the warmth of masonic fellowship, good food and wine.
We all enjoyed a wonderful evening and we are now looking forward to our next convocation as we will be Exalting two candidates. We hope to see as many, if not more guests and visitors for what will be a fantastic evening!
