A huge thank you to Virginia Edwyn Jones our now deputy Town Mayor, Virginia raised an amazing £5100 through a quiz night and a Wing Walk , some of the money raised has paid for 30 tickets for Paultons Park in the summer and the rest will go towards our new Juice Bar 😊

At the Annual Town Assembly, the Mayor, Cllr Virginia Edwyn-Jones was delighted to present a cheque for £1,318 to Shaftesbury Youth Club, this year’s chosen Mayor's Charity.

Shaftesbury Youth Club plays an important role in providing activities and opportunities for young people in our town.

The funds were raised at the Mayor’s recent Quiz Night, which included a hugely successful raffle and auction. With some contributions from the evening still to come in, this total will grow even further.

The Mayor is continuing fundraising efforts with the upcoming Wing Walk at Compton Abbas Airfield on Saturday 2nd May. Thanks to the strong support already shown, £1,980 has been raised so far, helping to boost the overall total for the Youth Club even more.

There is still time for people to get involved and show their support. Donations to the Mayoral Wing Walk can be made via JustGiving. You can also come along to watch the Wing Walk from 1.30pm at Compton Abbas Airfield.
