Thank you so much for the talk!!

🧡 A huge thank you to Gillingham & Shaftesbury Young Farmers Club for inviting our Treasurer and Trustee, Jane Weeden, to speak about bowel cancer awareness and the work of Ducks & Drakes Cancer Trust.

🗣️ The audience of young people aged 14–25 (plus some parents) was exactly the kind of group we love to reach as we work to raise awareness of bowel cancer in younger people.

💷 We were also incredibly grateful to receive a fantastic donation of £1,000, raised through the club’s Easter quiz. What an amazing contribution to help us continue our work.

Dorset Stock Judging Round 🐄🐑

Earlier on in May we had members participating in the stock judging competition kindly hosted by the Jeanes family.

For lots of our juniors it was their first time competing so a huge well done for taking part and lots of fantastic results achieved following dedication to practice meetings with thanks to the Tuffin family and the Blakeney’s.

Applications for the Student Support Fund 2026 are now open!

The fund welcomes applications from students and trainees of all ages who are undertaking vocational study or training in agriculture and related land-based subjects. Priority will be given to applicants seeking support that will meaningfully enhance their skills, knowledge, and educational development. All applicants must be living within a 15-mile radius of SP7 9PL.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 31st May 2026
