Open House Shaftesbury Open House is a community drop-in service offering Emergency food aid, Benefit support, Housing support, Budgeting and Furniture aid.

Our drop in service runs every Tuesday between 10am - 2pm, and our office is also manned on Monday & Thursday mornings.

Yes, is always looking for more to join our team – simply because the more volunteers we have, the fewer Tuesdays each of you must be here, and the more chance there if of us successfully covering potential volunteer absences (holidays, sickness, etc.) Interested? And just in case you are wondering, unsociable or antisocial behaviour (ASB) is defined as any criminal/non-criminal actions likely to harm or violate another person/family’s rights. Such actions can include:

Nuisance: Loud music/TV; shouting, swearing, loitering, and/or drunken behaviours in public.

Harassment: Threatening, abusive/insulting, and/or generally inconsiderate behaviour.

Vandalism: Fly-tipping, graffiti, property damage, and/or littering.
Illegal use of vehicles: Street/car park cruising/racing; convoys, driving on anything other than roads.

Drugs: Sale/use of drugs and any disruptions/mess associated therewith.

Aaaaand... I just realised that I forgot to give you the meaning of yesterday's word last night - so here it is: ‘Apricity’, is, of course, the name we give to the sun’s warmth in Winter.
