🌟WHAT A MAGICAL AFTERNOON & EVENING OF BALLET 🌟

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Dicky Buckle Fund’s first-ever Children’s Ballet Matinée yesterday at Hatch House, hosted by the brilliant Courteney Celeste Fox. Thank you and for making it happen!

It was a joy to welcome so many young people to experience world-class ballet up close. The atmosphere was full of energy, awe and inspiration — just as we’d hoped and we all learnt so much, not just about dancing, but staging and lighting too.

As Courteney said:
🩰 “The children’s matinee was more than a success — it was a spark of inspiration for so many students. You could see it in their eyes, their smiles, and you could feel it on stage. I’ve always believed that dance is a powerful vessel to uplift our youth, and yesterday was a true reflection of that.”

We’re counting down the days to the first-ever Children’s Matinée at Hatch House with the Dicky Buckle Fund and Covent Garden Dance Company. It promises to be a joyful afternoon of world-class dance, music, and interactive fun for all the family, raising money for the important work of The Dicky Buckle Fund.

We’re thrilled to be joined by the incredible Courteney Celeste Fox who will be hosting the matinee. Courteney s a celebrated dancer, educator and model of Bahamian descent, known globally for her work with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. She has performed in over 15 countries, appeared in Vogue, Vanity Fair, and The New York Times, and even danced for two US Presidents. She brings huge energy, talent and warmth to everything she does.

The Children’s Matinée is a chance not just to watch live dance – but to learn about lighting, design, and experience the magic of performance with dancers in full costume. Children will also be invited to join some of our incredible artists on stage and learn some dance moves themselves!

🌿 Hatch House is looking stunning, with the gardens in full bloom and the stage set for a truly unique afternoon – the first of its kind, with many more to come.

🩰 There’s also an add-on option (or solo option) to stay on and enjoy the full production dress rehearsal – starting around 5.30pm, finishing approx. 8pm, with short pauses as the team perfects the performance.

🌟BOOK TICKETS TO SEE XANDER PARISH OBE AS PART OF CHILDREN'S MATINEE AT HATCH HOUSE🌟

The Dicky Buckle Fund are thrilled to welcome the internationally acclaimed dancer Xander Parish OBE to our children's matinée at Hatch House on Thursday 24th July.

Born in East Yorkshire, and a Covent Garden Dance Company favourite he is renowned for his groundbreaking career with the Mariinsky Ballet.

During the matinee Xander will dazzle the audience with his solo "101 Super Fun." He'll also perform the mesmerising "Firebird" pas de deux alongside the talented American ballerina Joy Womack, the first American to graduate from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy. Together, they are sure to bring a magical and inspiring experience to young audiences and their families.
