RECRUITMENT: We're currently recruiting for cadets!

Do you know a young person who might be interested in volunteering as a police cadet?

Police cadets are volunteers who represent the force at community events and participate in a variety of activities and formal training. They also learn about various roles within the police.

Personal development, police powers, road safety and crime prevention are just some of the subjects you will explore as a cadet. You will also be expected to successfully pass a probationary period, attend a weekly district meeting held on a Wednesday evening and volunteer for additional activities that may take place on evenings and weekends, and be punctual at all times.

To become a cadet, you must complete an induction day and a first aid course. You must be age 15 by 31 August 2026 and no older than age 17 on 31 May 2026. You also need to live in South Yorkshire.

Spent three wonderful days in the capital with a fantastic group of young people! This bank holiday, we set out on a fun-filled adventure, and I couldn't be more proud of them. They truly are a credit to the youth club, their parents and guardians, and the wider community.

On Day 1, we explored the Tate Modern, HMS Belfast, Tower Bridge, and the Tower of London. Day 2 was packed with visits to Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall, Westminster, the London Eye, a scenic River Cruise, Piccadilly Circus, Chinatown, Leicester Square, and of course, M&M World. On our last day, we were lucky enough to visit the National History Museum before heading back home.

Now, it's definitely time for a nice bath and some good rest. Thank you all and good night! ✌️
