🇮🇳 Happy 80th Independence Day! 🇮🇳

On this special day, the Indian Community Centre, Reading wishes our entire community a very Happy Independence Day.

As we celebrate 80 years of India’s independence, we remember with gratitude the courage and sacrifices of those who fought for our freedom, and celebrate the rich heritage, cultures and traditions that unite us.

Here in Reading, we are proud to celebrate our Indian roots while also being part of the wonderfully diverse community we call home in the UK. May we continue to pass on our heritage and values to future generations and strengthen the bonds of friendship and community around us.

Dear friends and community members,
We’re delighted to invite you to a colourful celebration of Teeyan/Teej on Thursday, 30th July from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm at the Indian Community Centre, 2 Norris Road, Reading, RG6 1NJ
Teeyan/Teej holds a cherished place in our hearts, symbolising tradition, honouring women, and the joyous spirit of togetherness. This vibrant gathering will feature delicious Indian snacks and a freshly prepared vegetarian meal for £7, as well as lively songs, dhol, bhangra, giddha, and energetic dance performances.
To make our music and dance experience even more enjoyable, we invite everyone to send their playlist or music selections in advance to Veera, Gurvinder or Misbah. Your contributions help ensure that everyone’s favourite tunes are part of the festivities. Past events like this have brought our community closer and created wonderful memories, and we are excited to continue this tradition.
Please confirm your attendance by **28th July** and pay £7 (by cash or bank transfer) to Indian Community Association. If you have any questions about payment methods or need further details, please contact us directly.
