Thanet Community Development Trust (TCDT) is a Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee based in Thanet. Its primary purpose is to develop and support economic, social and environmental regeneration within the district, aiming to improve the lives of local residents who would otherwise have little chance of doing so themselves. This work is achieved by working with communities (however defined),

statutory and public bodies, the private sector and concerned and interested individuals. Thanet Trust helps people develop their professional, interpersonal and social skills. Enhancing employability, offering recognised qualifications for those looking for employment; supporting social inclusion, providing safe and welcoming spaces to meet new people. At Thanet Trust, we support unemployed people, early-stage entrepreneurs, veterans, young and older people, those who are lonely or isolated, and the disadvantaged who have not been afforded the opportunities to better themselves. We have worked to help the residents of Thanet since 2002, seeking to relieve poverty among vulnerable, disadvantaged people. Our work has changed thousands of lives, bringing neighbours together and supporting people into employment. The work we do has been recognised in recent years, receiving awards such as Colyer-Fergusson's Unlocking Opportunities for our services to young people, and various local Thanet and Kent Charity awards.
