... 12-17 October 1981 Whose Life Is It Anyway?
Adapted from his 1972 TV play, Brian Clark’s Tony and Olivier Award-winner about a quadriplegic sculptor who his determined to be allowed to die was a critical and commercial smash when it opened in 1978. Simon Ward and Paula Wilcox – who visited the RNLI to draw the winners of a competition while they were here – starred in this well received touring production directed by Brian Hewitt-Jones that coincided with John Badham’s film version starring Richard Dreyfuss, John Cassavetes and Christine Lahti.
