❤️Do you know about the Friends of Hamworthy Park official charity?

If yes to any of these questions, please help us.

We are looking for helpers, volunteers, and also Trustees to ensure this wonderful space is looked after, cared for, and stays beautiful for everyone.

Most importantly, we need help to ensure the paddling pool gets to re open for 2025. This is NOT guaranteed by the local Council.

We cannot promise this without help and donations, especially with even more council cutbacks this year.

The paddling pool opening and maintenance and is NOT a 100% guarantee this year. Not without help.

Please pop into the Cafe In The Park and leave your details if you have any time to spare and we'll let you know how you can help us all keep our park and beach alive. We also have an official donation box at the cafe which goes directly to help fund the pool staying open.

Hi Friends. If you've stumbled across this page and wonder "where and when are all the swims happening???" Here's a bit of info....

Because Hamworthy Park is inside the harbour, it is really only best/nicest/ easiest/ safest to swim around high tide (there are some exceptions to this depending on the time of year and whether it's a neap or spring tide).

Generally, brcause of tide times, that swimable time changes every day!
So.....Unlike other swim groups based around the main beaches, that means we don't have regular swim times.

We do always encourage swimming with others for safety, so if you'd like to connect, and hear about who is swimming and when, or ask if anyone else is free for a dip, do send a message and our admins will add you to the messenger chat group.

See you in the sea!

My gorgeous friends Sandra Gorlero Barnes and Sofia are holding a women's equinox retreat here in Dorset. ❤️

This is a weekend retreat but I am so so happy they have opened their space for the day on Saturday 🙏❤️

The day will be filled with meditation, yoga, sound and an evening cacao Ceremony with alchemy dance & sound journey meditation. On top of this you will get use of the gorgeous spa facilities, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub and get a free goody bag.

These ladies are such amazing souls who connect on such a deep level, it needs to be seen to be believed.

I feel totally blessed that my Yoga teacher from 20 years ago is bringing her magic to Dorset 🙏❤️❤️

The cost for this wonderful day is just £100.

I will be there and would love to see you to.

A few of us enjoyed a sneaky afternoon swim today just before the tide started going out (we probably looked like little heads bobbing along... a bit like this photo!).

It was fab to meet Mary, a local swimmer, we would love to add you into our chat group Mary, just send us a message.
It made us realise that we don't post much on this main page, but we are swimming, meeting up and supporting one another as a lovely community of swimmers. Do get in touch if you would like to meet up and be added onto our messenger chat group. See you in the sea!
