💜🧡 Families Day 2026 🧡💜

We are so excited to bring connection, comfort and smiles to our Luna’s Fund families once again this summer! 🥰

📅 Sunday 12th July 2026
📍 Dartmoor Zoological Society, Plymouth, PL7 5DG
⏰ 10:30am until close
🍰 A light optional lunch will be provided
☀️ A fun day out with activities for all ages to enjoy

This special day is open to all families we have supported, wherever you are located. The invitation extends to the whole family of your precious baby, including grandparents, aunties, uncles, siblings and other loved ones.

If you and your family would like to attend, please send us a message and we will provide you with the sign up link. Lunch options can be selected on the sign up form.

Please note that this is a private event for families who have experienced baby loss or pregnancy after loss, together with their loved ones. As we provide lifelong support to our families through baby loss and beyond, there may be pregnant people, babies and children attending this event.

We cannot wait to meet some of you for the first time and see familiar faces again. 💜💫

💜🌈 Meeting Baby River 🌈💜

Today we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming baby River, alongside his mummy and daddy, to our office. 🥹

We first met River’s parents last year, after they had experienced two separate losses over the past eight years, saying goodbye to their three much loved babies, Forest and twins Willow & Daisy.

Through those years of heartbreak, we have had the privilege of walking alongside them, from seeing the photos of their engagement during their baby loss getaway at the Scarlet Hotel, to finding out about baby River from the very moment his mummy took that positive test.

Supporting them through pregnancy after loss has been a privileged and today was so precious to meet their special boy. 🌈

Being invited into a family’s journey in this way is something we never take for granted. 🥹

Witnessing these full circle moments, from grief to hope, is truly beautiful. We are so grateful to every family who allows Luna’s Fund to be part of their story.

It has been an honour to support River’s parents and to walk alongside his big sister, Hope, throughout their journey.

💜🐔 Nando’s and Spinners 🐔💜

Friday night was everything we hoped it would be and so much more. 🥰

As part of our new partnership with , Barcode Plymouth, we hosted our first adults only Nando’s and night! 🫶🏽

15 parents came together, alone, in couples, or with a friend, to have an evening of laughter and connection with others who get it. 💜

The room was filled with lighthearted conversations, friendly competition, and genuine connection. Parents could choose to speak about their babies or just get to know each other, share their everyday lives, and most importantly… laugh.

As bereaved parents, it can sometimes feel difficult to allow yourself to have fun. Guilt can creep in, making you question whether it’s okay to laugh or enjoy yourself. But Friday night was a reminder that carrying grief and joy can co-exist. ✨

Watching the difference of everyone from when they walked in compared to when they left was remarkable. New friendships had formed, barriers had come down, and for a few hours there was a space where everyone felt understood without needing to explain a thing. 🥰

We are so incredibly grateful to Nando’s for generously donating all of the food for every parent tonight, and to the wonderful team at Spinners for helping create such a fun, light, and meaningful evening.

Most importantly, thank you to every parent who came along. Without your trust, openness, and willingness to show up, evenings like this simply wouldn’t exist. The feedback we’ve already received has been so heartwarming, and as a team, it drives us to evolve and host more events. 👏🏾

This is only the beginning of the events we have planned. 💜

Every baby leaves a mark on the world, and there are so many beautiful ways to honour them. 🌙

Here are just a few ideas on how you can do something for them while helping the next family:

🏃🏽‍♀️ Run a race
🤿 Brave a shark snorkel
🏟️ Take on an abseil
🍰 Host an afternoon tea
🙋🏾‍♂️ Organise a quiz night
👚 Hold a clothes sale
🗻 Climb Mount Snowdon
🧁 Organise a cake sale
💜 Donate items for our gift packs
🙏🏽 Ask for donations instead of birthday or wedding gifts
🌊 Challenge yourself to sea swim for 30 days

These are only a few ideas our wonderful families have chosen as acts of remembrance. All making a difference to the next family we support, while connecting to their baby.

Writing your baby’s name in the sand, placing a special rock in a meaningful place, lighting a candle, planting a flower, or sharing a photo and their story can help raise awareness and allow their memory to shine brightly.

Every fundraiser, conversation, and shared photo, helps us continue supporting bereaved families when they need us the most so if you’re thinking about doing something in memory of your baby, we’d love to hear from you & help you. 💜

💜🩷 Volunteer Day 🩷💜

What a wonderful day we’ve had at Luna’s Fund HQ with five incredible volunteers helping us make a difference for bereaved families. 🥹

A huge thank you to Shannon, a lovely student midwife we met at the midwifery training day earlier this year. Shannon generously gave her time today supporting our families by packing gift packs for baby loss and pregnancy after loss families to receive. ✨

Thank you also to Louise, Honey’s mummy, Artie, Honey’s brother, and Gladys, Ugonna & Ada’s mummy. 🐝💙

Both families received one of our gift boxes following the loss of their babies, and today they gave back by helping preparing boxes for the next families who will need our support.

Seeing parents return to help other families is always incredibly special. 🥹

Thank you as always to Sally, Luna’s nanny, who is always there whenever we need an extra pair of hands. We truly don’t know what we’d do without her! 💜

The team achieved so much today, including preparing most of our Father’s Day gifts for the special dads we support. As a small charity, volunteer days like these make such a huge difference. The time, care and kindness our volunteers give allows us to focus more of our time and resources on supporting families through the most difficult times of their lives.

We’re also excited to welcome more wonderful volunteers over the coming weeks and can’t wait to spend time with them as part of the Luna’s Fund family. 🫶🏽

💜🌈 Story Raine Project Feedback 🌈💜

Pregnancy after loss can be filled with anxiety, uncertainty, and milestones that feel impossible to reach. Thanks to your support, we were able to help Ottilie’s family access additional reassurance scans throughout their pregnancy, providing comfort during difficult moments.

Today, they get to hold their beautiful daughter, Ellora, while always remembering her big sister, Ottilie. 💜🌈

Families like Ottilie’s remind us why our support is vital. Not only are we able to provide practical support, but we can also help families feel seen, supported, and less alone as they navigate pregnancy after loss. 💜

Thank you to this wonderful family for sharing their journey with us and allowing us to be a small part of their story. 🥰

This event is an evening to have fun, access incredible auction and raffle prizes, stand together with three incredible charities all making a real difference in the local community:

💜 Luna’s Fund - Supporting families across Devon and Cornwall through baby loss and pregnancy after loss, offering practical and emotional support during life after loss.

🩵 HD Livin’ - Working to support individuals and families affected by Huntington’s Disease, helping to create spaces of care, community, and specialist support. HD Livin'

💙 Defence Medical Welfare Service - Providing vital emotional and practical support to members of the Armed Forces community, NHS staff, and frontline workers when they need it most. DMWS

Expect an unforgettable evening with a two course meal, DJ, photographer, entertainment, fun casino tables, a charity auction, and raffle full of incredible prizes.
