The Livewell Foundation funds equipment, training, staff & patients amenities which are over & above those funded by the NHS.

The Foundation also supports projects in Plymouth & South West Devon that reduce social isolation & improve health & wellbeing.

We're halfway through our large grant window, and there's still time to apply.

Organisations in Plymouth and South West Devon can apply for grants of up to £10,000 from our 2027 Grant Fund. Applications close on 30th November 2026.

The window opened earlier this month with our Grant Launch Event at Tinside Lido. It was brilliant to bring together charities, community leaders and previous grant recipients to talk funding priorities, share highlights from our new Impact Report, and celebrate what local organisations are achieving.

We fund projects that improve health and wellbeing, reduce ill health and tackle social isolation. This year, we'd especially love to receive applications that address children's mental health, women's health or child obesity.

What difference could a Livewell Foundation grant make to your community?

Park Yoga is a brilliant example of how funding can help make a real difference. Thanks to the team for inviting us to a session at Plymouth's Devonport Park and for sharing how their work is helping people become more physically active, feel more connected to their communities and enjoy the benefits of being outdoors.

Park Yoga's mission is that participation remains free for all, but free sessions still cost money to deliver. That's where funding can make all the difference.

If your organisation has an idea that could make a positive difference to people's health and wellbeing across Plymouth, South Hams or West Devon, now's the time to explore whether a Livewell Foundation grant could help make it happen. Our large grant window is currently open, with applications closing at the end of November.

A successful large grant application last year has meant that The Elder Tree have been able to reduce waiting list times, expand their activities into underserved parts of the city and support more older people to live active, social and happy lives.

A HUGE thank you to the Legendary team at Full Moon Tattoo, who have spent the last three days raising money for Livewell Foundation as part of their 14th annual anniversary charity event.

Thank you to the team for sharing their own experiences of having loved ones cared for on the Neuro Rehabilitation Ward, and for telling the story of the compassion, dignity and kindness they experienced from Livewell Southwest staff.

All funds raised by Full Moon Tattoo will be going directly towards supporting the ward and the people who use it.

We’re so grateful to the whole team for choosing The Livewell Foundation, for sharing their story and for all their hard work over the last three days. Legendary behaviour 👏👏👏

Just ONE month left to enter our ballot for the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2027! 🎉

Last month, Mindful Art Club CIC welcomed visitors to Leadworks CIC in Stonehouse for a moving exhibition featuring artwork created by women who have spent the past year taking part in weekly mindful art sessions across Plymouth.

Made possible through funding from the Livewell Foundation, the project has supported women experiencing mental health challenges and recovering from substance misuse, providing safe, welcoming spaces where creativity became a pathway to healing, connection and self-expression.
