🐾🌞 Kitten season is here – and neutering has never been more important! 🌞🐾

Did you know that kitten season peaks during the warmer summer months, when unneutered cats can produce multiple litters in a single year? Cats Protection recommends neutering from 4 months of age to help prevent unwanted litters and reduce the number of cats needing rescue.

😺 A female cat can become pregnant from around 4 months old
😺 Cats can have multiple litters each year
😺 One unneutered cat can contribute to hundreds of kittens being born over time
😺 Every year, Cats Protection helps neuter around 136,000 cats and kittens, including thousands of feral cats.

Neutering can also:
✔ Help prevent certain illnesses
✔ Reduce roaming and fighting
✔ Lower the risk of your cat becoming lost or injured
✔ Help cats live happier, healthier lives

Here at Cats Protection, every cat that comes into our care is neutered before being rehomed, but this comes at a significant cost. 💜

She needs a kind, patient, and understanding adopter who is willing to give her the time and space she needs to build confidence and feel secure. With the right person, she has every chance to flourish and become a wonderful companion. If you can offer Tammi the love, stability, and understanding she deserves, we would love to hear from you. She's a sweet, vocal girl who loves catnip and enjoys expressing herself with plenty of chatter. Given time to settle into her new surroundings, we believe she will become a devoted companion who follows her favourite person from room to room and happily "talks" throughout the day. Tammi is looking for a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe and secure. She would be happiest as the only pet in the household, so she needs a home with no young children or other animals. 💜 A Special Appeal for Jenny 💜

We don't usually do this, but Jenny deserves it.

Jenny has been with us since January and we are honestly at a loss as to why she's still here. She is one of the sweetest, most affectionate girls we've ever had, she loves people, she loves a fuss, and she has so much love just waiting to go somewhere.

Jenny does have a heart murmur and early signs of renal disease, but here's the thing — neither requires any daily medication. Her health is managed simply through her diet, she's happy, she's comfortable, and she could have many wonderful years ahead of her still.

She just needs someone to give her a chance.

If you've been thinking about adopting, or you know someone who has — please think of Jenny. Share this post, tag a friend, do whatever you can to help us find this girl her forever home. She has waited long enough. 💜
