🌟 From Homelessness to Hope – Congratulations Mohammad Omer Hassan! 🌟

GLADCA is incredibly proud to celebrate Mohammad Omer Hassan, winner of the Partner Student of the Year Award. πŸ†

Mohammad Omer’s journey is truly inspiring. After facing homelessness, health challenges and many barriers, he showed outstanding determination and resilience. Even during the most difficult times, he continued attending his ESOL classes, worked hard to improve his English, and never gave up on building a better future.

With support from GLADCA through education, housing advocacy and community support, Mohammad Omer has transformed his life β€” securing accommodation, progressing in his learning, growing in confidence and gaining employment.

His story is a powerful reminder that with courage, perseverance and the right support, lives can change. ❀️

πŸ‘ Congratulations Mohammad Omer β€” your achievements inspire us all.

HIGH SHERIFF VISIT TO GLADCA

We were privileged and honoured to welcome the High Sheriff, Francis Berkit to GLADCA alongside Jonathan Jelley
The visit was an opportunity to showcase the invaluable work GLADCA has been delivering for over 50 years in supporting communities through a wide range of services and initiatives.
Visiting the classrooms and speaking directly with our learners truly highlighted the positive impact GLADCA continues to make in transforming lives and empowering individuals within our communities.
The High Sheriff also presented certificates to our dedicated volunteers from Jack Hunt School in recognition and appreciation of their outstanding voluntary work at GLADCA.
Our board members and staff were delighted by the visit and sincerely appreciated the time taken to learn more about our work and community impact.
Thank you High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire for your support and visiting us.

GLADCA COFFEE MORNING

Another successful Coffee Morning delivered in partnership with North West Anglia Foundation Trust (NWAFT) with Angela Johnson and the team. The session focused on personalised maternity care, women’s health, antenatal support, and protecting women’s wellbeing during pregnancy and birth.

Over 40 people attended the session, creating valuable discussions and awareness within our community. Light refreshments were served, and we thank everyone who attended and supported the event.

At GLADCA, we hold regular monthly Coffee Mornings providing essential advice, health awareness, and wellbeing support for our communities. Get in touch to learn more about our upcoming sessions and activities.
