Lots of achievements to celebrate from our Kinnoull Day Opportunities group! 🌟

Scott had a fantastic archery session, hitting three apples with his arrows. What an achievement! 🍎🏹🎯

Alongside archery, the group have been building their confidence with fire-lighting skills, developing new abilities and enjoying time outdoors together. Well done, everyone! 🔥👏

🏹 Our adult learners have made a fantastic start to their archery sessions! Everyone managed to hit the target, including the apples placed on the boss, which was a great achievement for a first go.

A special thank you to Brogan for all the support and encouragement throughout the session. We can't wait to see everyone's skills develop over the coming weeks! 🍎🎯

Last week, our group from Forfar Academy was delighted to welcome Ian Cameron from the Provincial Grand Lodge Perthshire East, who presented us with a generous donation of £500 to support our work with young people. We're incredibly grateful for this contribution, which will help us continue providing valuable outdoor learning experiences and opportunities for local young people.

Thank you for your support!

🐾 Another great session at Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre for our Crieff High School group!

They've been hard at work helping prepare pathways for the Halloween event and making a start on cleaning out the aviary. As always, a fantastic effort from everyone involved. 💪🌿

☀️ A lovely morning exploring Kinnoull Tower with our Forfar Academy group.

There was time for plenty of chat, exploration, snacks, and beautiful views along the way. 🌿 It's always great to see how much this group enjoys the outdoors and the boost it gives to wellbeing. 💚

A warm welcome to our new adult learning group from Kinnoull Day Opportunities, who joined us this week! We started by getting to know each other better with some team games then learned how to light fires safely and enjoyed making and eating s'mores around the fire at Megginch Castle Walled Garden. 🔥🍫🌿

Following a well-earned rest after their recent expedition, Forfar Academy are back and busy! This week has been packed with team challenges, problem-solving activities and a raft-building session at Quarrymill, helping to develop valuable soft skills. There was also plenty of time for hot chocolates around the fire and simply enjoying nature. 🌿☕🚣‍♂️🪲

This Su***de Prevention Day, a simple conversation could make all the difference. Learn how to support someone who may be struggling and help them find the support they need. ❤️

If you’re worried about someone, asking them ‘are you thinking about su***de’ is the best way to prevent it from happening.

We are so proud of our Forfar Academy Starfish Way group for completing their bronze expedition in what were at times quite challenging elements.

Much of the group had never stayed away from home overnight before, let alone camping in tents, so this was a brand new experience that came with lots of different challenges and emotions, all of which they overcame superbly. They have made us so proud.

The group absolutely smashed their walks, working together well and supporting each other. They have demonstrated amazing resilience and have had some laughs along the way! Huge well done to this amazing group of young people and the staff that accompanied them.
