Rainbow Hub

Rainbow Hub Rainbow Hub is a charity whose diverse services are brightening the lives of disabled children.

Rainbow Hub promotes independence and achievement for both children and young people, through the philosophy and practice of Conductive Education. This is a holistic educational system using repetitive physical activities incorporating rhythm, song and phrases to help young people with neurological conditions and brain injury carry out simple movements. Conditions include cerebral palsy, Hypoxic I

schemic Encephalopathy (HIE), Williams Syndrome, Moebius Syndrome, Downs Syndrome during the early years and acquired brain injury. It can also benefit individuals who do not have a diagnosis and those with global developmental delay, genetic conditions and other physical disabilities.

In the words of Annie's Mummy and Daddy...

🧡💙❤️💚🩵💛
Annie is four years old and lives with KBG Syndrome, epilepsy, global developmental delay and learning difficulties. She faces challenges every single day that most people will never see. She struggles with communication, has mobility difficulties, sensory sensitivities, sleep issues, feeding difficulties and has had to endure more hospital appointments, assessments and therapies than any child should ever have to.

Despite everything she faces, Annie continues to amaze us. She is brave, determined, loving and has a smile that can light up any room. She works incredibly hard for every achievement, no matter how small it may seem to others, and we are proud of her every single day.

KBG Syndrome is a rare condition, and many people have never heard of it. Today we are helping to raise awareness not only for Annie, but for every child and family living with KBG. Behind every diagnosis is a child who deserves understanding, support and the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Annie, you have taught us more about strength, resilience and unconditional love than we could ever put into words. We could not be prouder to be your mum and dad

💚🩵💙💛🧡❤️💗

For 2️⃣5️⃣ years, you've helped us change lives. Now we’re asking for your help to change many more.

As Rainbow Hub celebrates 25 years of supporting children with disabilities and complex needs, we're looking ahead to the next life-changing chapter.

We're setting ourselves the challenge of raising £2️⃣5️⃣0️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ to build a specialist hydrotherapy pool - a place where children can experience greater freedom of movement, build confidence, develop new skills and, most importantly, have fun!

For some children, the water offers something they can't experience anywhere else: the freedom to move independently, without limitations 💧❤

A hydrotherapy pool is more than a pool. It's a place of achievement, happiness, progress and possibility. The warmth of the water helps relax muscles and reduce pressure on joints, allowing children to move more freely, build strength, improve mobility and take part in therapy in a fun and engaging way.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help create new opportunities for children to thrive and enable more families to access life-changing therapy closer to home.

Together, we can make this vision a reality, helping to create brighter futures for children across Lancashire and beyond 🌈🌈🌈

Please help us make it happen. Be part of something incredible.

Back in December, we were delighted to welcome members of the Lucy Thomas Official Fan Club, just before Lucy was surprised with the wonderful announcement at her Palm House performance of what they had raised to date...an incredible £7️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣at that time.

Lucy herself has been a wonderful supporter of our work over the years and, in the past, has performed at our Annual Ball, helping to make these events even more special. It was this connection that inspired members of her Fan Club to begin fundraising in her name in support of Rainbow Hub.

Since then, their support has continued to grow and now stands at a truly amazing £2️⃣3️⃣,8️⃣ 6️⃣8️⃣🥳 What began as a once-secret group fundraising in Lucy’s name has now expanded into something much bigger, as members are now able to openly share plans and organise through their group social media channels, helping the fundraising gain real momentum.

This has been achieved through donations, including via their JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/page/supporters-of-lucy-thomas-2, and with local member Bob bravely taking part in our Anfield Abseil and also our Rainbow Ramble last month — alongside an incredible show of international support from two members, Mike and Lorie, who joined in virtually all the way from the USA, highlighting the support reaching us from across the Atlantic! ❤

The photo celebrating this fantastic total features teddy bears - a creative idea from the fan club themselves, representing members from all over the world and reflecting just how global and connected this community is🧸

We are deeply grateful to Lucy Thomas and the entire Fan Club for their kindness, energy, and ongoing commitment. Every contribution makes a real difference, and we look forward to our continuing friendship in the time ahead ❤🌈

💜 Volunteers’ Week 2026 💜

As Volunteers’ Week begins, we want to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to the incredible volunteers who give their time, energy and support to Rainbow Hub.

A couple of weeks ago, we were delighted to welcome many of our volunteers to a special coffee morning to celebrate the difference they make. It was wonderful to spend time together and recognise the amazing contribution they make to our charity. A special shout out of thanks goes to our friends at Bidfood for generously providing the yummy selection of cakes and pastries 🥐❤️

Our volunteers support Rainbow Hub in so many ways – from helping at events and fundraising activities, to assisting with administration, maintaining our grounds, sharing their expertise on our Board of Trustees, supporting our children and families, and much more. Whatever the role, every hour they give helps us continue providing vital services for children and young people with physical and neurological disabilities.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful school children for their uplifting performance, which brought so much joy to the morning and was enjoyed by everyone who attended. 🎶💜

A special thank you also goes to our Rainbow Hub mummy, Michelle, for so kindly sharing what Rainbow Hub means to her family and how her daughter, Evie, has benefited from the support and services they have received 💖🌈

The greatest gift our volunteers give is their time, and we are incredibly grateful for their dedication, kindness and commitment. Rainbow Hub simply wouldn’t be the same without them.

From everyone at Rainbow Hub - thank you for everything you do 💜 thank you also to Arden Lea Nurseries who kindly gifted some beautiful plants 🪴 to our volunteers as a gesture of thanks 💖🌈💖
