🛒💚 FOODBANK DONATIONS NEEDED 💚🛒
As demand for our Foodbank continues, we are once again asking our amazing community for help.

Every tin, packet and toiletry item donated helps local individuals and families facing difficult times. Your kindness really does make a difference.

We are particularly in need of:
🥫 Tinned meat, potatoes and vegetables
🍅 Tinned tomatoes and pasta sauces
🥣 Soup, beans and tinned spaghetti
🍚 Rice and packet meals
🍍 Tinned fruit, custard and rice pudding
☕ Kettle foods (pot noodles, instant noodles, packet pasta, microwave rice)
🍓 Jam and long-life juice
Toiletries urgently needed:
🧴 Shampoo and shower gel
🪥 Toothpaste and toothbrushes
🧻 Toilet roll
🧼 Soap
🪒 Razors and shaving foam
🩸 Sanitary products

No donation is too small. Whether it's one item added to your shopping basket or a larger donation, it all helps us support local people when they need it most.

📍 Donations can be dropped off at The Well Project on Tuesdays or Fridays, the Well Loved Shop during opening hours, Lidl, ASDA, Sainsburys in Normanton, local schools and Normanton Library, Sainsburys Trinity Walk, Asda Glasshoughton, Tescos ar Whitwood (sorry if we've missed some).

Thank you for helping us ensure that nobody in our community has to face hardship alone. ❤️

We would like to say a huge thank you to the family of Kirstin for so kindly donating the proceeds of her funeral collection to the Normanton Foodbank.

An incredible £2,002.11 was raised which is a truly amazing amount that will make a real difference to local people and families who are struggling and in need of emergency support.

Kirstin was a much-loved lady who always cared deeply about helping others, supporting The Well Project Normanton and her community. This donation and her recent 'outlive the corned beef' drive which saw over 60 tins of corned beef being donated to us, is a wonderful reflection of that kindness and generosity.

From all of us at the Foodbank and The Well Project, thank you for thinking of us at such a difficult time.

Our thoughts remain with Kirstin’s family and friends ❤️

Sanitary products is something we are always short of here at the Normanton Foodbank.

You can help by buying some at the local supermarket for the foodbank collection points or donate straight to us here at The Well Project Normanton.

Or sign up to give just £5 a month that will allow us to buy stock that we are short of as and when needed. Call or message 07872 551640 for more details.

Nobody should dread getting their period because they don’t have enough money to buy tampons and pads.

Yet new research reveals that people in the UK spend an estimated £20,359 over a lifetime on periods. And a THIRD of people in the UK struggle to afford period supplies.

As the cost of the essentials increases, people are being forced to make impossible decisions between whether to buy food or tampons and pads.

Essentials like period supplies are not things we can cut back on, they’re the things we all need to survive. 💚
