To all our wonderful customers, as of tomorrow at the Normanton PWH Shop we will be closed on Sundays. We are still open Monday to Saturday 9am till 4.30pm with all the amazing treasures and bargains to find. X

💛 In Loving Memory of Brenda 💛
It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news that our much-loved volunteer Brenda passed away on Sunday 11th January.

Brenda was part of our shop family for an incredible 26 years. She gave her time, her kindness, and her heart so generously, and her presence meant more to us than words can say. Many of you will remember her warm smile, her gentle nature, and the joy she brought with her every day.

Brenda had a special love for baking and often treated our staff and volunteers to her homemade buns and cakes — always made with care and love. She also never said no when we asked her to dress up for photos for Facebook, bringing laughter and fun to everyone around her.

She will be deeply missed by our team, our volunteers, and our customers, but her memory will always be part of this place.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Brenda’s family and loved ones at this very difficult time. Thank you, Brenda, for everything you gave us.

Who’s joining in with Buy Nothing New Month? 💙

The CRA team are thrilled to be kicking off the year by taking part in Buy Nothing New Month! 💚

If you haven’t heard of it yet, Buy Nothing New Month, run by Keep Britain Tidy is exactly what it says on the tin: a challenge to avoid buying new stuff for the month and instead reuse, repair, borrow, swap, or buy second-hand.

During Buy Nothing New Month in January 2024, 73% of participants didn't buy anything new and 26% bought less stuff than they usually would!

It’s a small switch with a big impact. Less landfill, lower emissions, and way more mindful spending. Plus, it’s the perfect excuse to support charity shops! Think pre-loved gems, vintage finds, and giving items a second life while supporting brilliant causes at the same time!
