💝 VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES - VOLUNTEER KITCHEN HELPER OR BEFRIENDING VOLUNTEER

Do you enjoy bringing joy to others? Could you spare a few hours each week to make a real difference?
We’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Volunteer Kitchen Helpers and Befriending Volunteers to help brighten the days of our members. In these rewarding roles, you might:
✅ Build friendships whilst befriending
✅ Lend a hand to our Community Coordinator
✅ You’ll meet new people, build meaningful connections, and become part of a vibrant, caring community.
For Catering, you will:-
✅ Have a passion for cooking
✅ Help us to deliver hot, delicious and nutritious meals to our members at our lunch clubs
✅ Gain valuable skills & knowledge that can enhance our personal and professional development or bring skills to us from a previous role.
✨ Full training and support provided

The UK is set to experience a week of extreme heat, with experts warning of risks to health and infrastructure.

As we get older, it's especially important to take extra care during periods of hot weather.

🥵 Avoid going outside during the hottest part of the day, especially between 1pm and 3pm.
🏡 Keep blinds and curtains closed to help keep your home cool.
👕 Wear lightweight, loose-fitting, light-coloured clothing made from breathable fabrics such as cotton.
🧊 Stay hydrated. Add ice cubes to your drinks and keep chopped fruit in the freezer for a refreshing, healthy snack.

💪🏋️ Stay active with Kurling (Monday 9.30am) Seated exercise (Tuesday 1pm) or Line dancing (Friday 2pm)

🍤🍟 Join us for fish n chips at The Pointers Pop-In - Monday 12pm.

☕️ Our brand new coffee morning at The Ramsgate centre in Lofthouse starts at 9.30am on Wednesday.

🎶 It’s our monthly Carlton Cares Party on Wednesday 1pm.

A lovely time was had at East Ardsley Lunch Club today. Fish, parsley sauce with roast potatoes, green beans and carrots. All topped off with a game of bingo!
