Stapeley Grange is one of the busiest animal centres in the UK Prior to adopting all our cats are neutered, vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms.

The RSPCA Stapeley Grange Cattery provides specialist treatment and rehabilitation for rescued cats and kittens. Our dedicated staff and volunteers provide a safe and loving environment for our cats and kittens, attending to their every need to ultimately find our animals new forever homes. We also microchip your cat. Our adoption fees help us cover some of our costs. All our cats need loving homes but our staff are committed to finding the right cat for you, one that will match your lifestyle and meet the requirements of each rehomed cat. The process will involve a home visit by a registered/trained home visitor. Stapeley Grange is one of four RSPCA wildlife centres based in England that supports the rehabilitation of sick, injured, orphaned and confiscated wildlife. Our facilities allow us to rescue, rehabilitate and release almost all species of wildlife (with the exception of seals and deer). Our remit is to return wild animals back to the wild (not see them left in captivity for the rest of their lives) and to rehome domestic and exotics admissions.

Introducing Dora! 🥰

Dora is a gentle two-year-old female who is now searching for a second chance after a difficult start in life. Having been abandoned by her previous owner, Dora is understandably a little cautious and unsure when meeting new people. She isn’t the type to rush straight into your lap, but behind her quiet reserve is a deeply affectionate, resilient cat just waiting for the right person to help build her confidence.

She is looking for a calm home where any children are 13+ and no other pets. She will eventually need outdoor access once she has fully settled into her new home.

RSPCA Stapeley Grange Cattery is looking for compassionate local volunteers to provide short-term home care for cats and kittens. Fostering is flexible, deeply rewarding, and completely free! We supply all food, equipment, and vet care.

A home environment provides the stability, love, and routine that our cats here desperately need while they wait for their next chapter. You won't just be changing the life of the cat you are fostering, you will be freeing up needed cattery space, allowing us to take in more cats.

Requirements:
✅ 18+ years old
✅ A quiet, separate room in your home
✅ Able to travel to Stapeley Grange / local vets for appointments

🦔 Hedgehog Appeal: We need your shredded paper! 🦔

Our prickly patients need fresh, cosy bedding, and you can help keep them warm by clearing out your home office!

We are urgently looking for donations of long-cut shredded paper.

Why long-cut?
Unlike cross-cut or micro-cut paper, long strips make the perfect, safe nesting material for hedgehogs to burrow into and stay snug.

Please drop off any donations at the wildlife centre by the admissions door

FOUND CAT PLS SHARE!

Young white and ginger male cat. Approx 9 months old. Found on West street Crewe. Not neutered or microchipped but was wearing a blue collar. He has been taken into care as he has a very heavy flea burden which needs treating and he could have been lost for a while.

🦭💙 FROM RESCUED SEAL PUP TO PROUD MUM! 💙🦭

We absolutely love a wildlife success story, and this one is extra special! 🥹

Meet Sturgeon, a seal pup rescued from Walney Island, Cumbria, on 27 November 2019 by. She came into care via Kendal College’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Unit as an inexperienced juvenile, suffering from nasal discharge and needing some much-needed help.

Sturgeon was cared for and rehabilitated by our dedicated team at RSPCA Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre before moving to deeper pools at Welsh Mountain Zoo on 18 February, where she continued her journey towards release back into the wild in early 2020.

Fast forward to recently, and Sturgeon has been spotted again on the North Wales coast — but this time, she has a little one of her own! 🦭🐾❤️ Pictures provided by Adge Lane from Seal Welfare Organisation.

Seeing a seal we helped rescue and rehabilitate go on to live wild and successfully raise her own pup is exactly why we do what we do. Every animal has a story, and moments like this remind us just how rewarding wildlife rehabilitation can be.

A huge well done to everyone involved in Sturgeon’s journey, from rescue through to release. Here's to many more years of life in the wild for Sturgeon and her new pup! 🌊💙

Meet Figaro!

Don’t be fooled by Figaro’s resting grumpy face - he is the most affectionate boy who just loves attention and being around people! It took him a little while to settle in, he was so shy at first, but now his sweet loving nature is shining through. 🥰

Figaro is looking for a calm home with no other pets and where any children are 11+. He will need outdoor access once settled in.
