RSPCA Stapeley Grange

RSPCA Stapeley Grange Stapeley Grange is one of the busiest animal centres in the UK Prior to adopting all our cats are neutered, vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms.

The RSPCA Stapeley Grange Cattery provides specialist treatment and rehabilitation for rescued cats and kittens. Our dedicated staff and volunteers provide a safe and loving environment for our cats and kittens, attending to their every need to ultimately find our animals new forever homes. We also microchip your cat. Our adoption fees help us cover some of our costs. All our cats need loving home

s but our staff are committed to finding the right cat for you, one that will match your lifestyle and meet the requirements of each rehomed cat. The process will involve a home visit by a registered/trained home visitor. Stapeley Grange is one of four RSPCA wildlife centres based in England that supports the rehabilitation of sick, injured, orphaned and confiscated wildlife. Our facilities allow us to rescue, rehabilitate and release almost all species of wildlife (with the exception of seals and deer). Our remit is to return wild animals back to the wild (not see them left in captivity for the rest of their lives) and to rehome domestic and exotics admissions.

SUMMER FAIR UPDATE!! We have so many people to thank following our Summer Fair last Sunday, which was FYI a huge success!

To begin, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to our neighbours at BOOT Property - Stapeley House and Stapeley Technology Park - for generously allowing us to use their car park and field for this event.

BOOT Property provides high-quality office accommodation in a beautiful rural setting. For further information, please contact [email protected].

Without their ongoing support, we simply would not be able to host our Summer and Winter fundraising events. Their generosity plays a vital role in helping us bring these events to our community.

A huge THANK YOU to BOOT Property for your continued support!

🌀 40 springs
🎣 15 wand toys
😋 Over 100 Lick-e-Lix treats

Thank you, Quinn, for your kindness and generosity. Your support will make a real difference to the cats in our care. ❤️

RSPCA (England & Wales) Bat pup season is upon us and these two little creatures arrived a couple of days ago. Weighing in at just 1 and 1.4g these are two of the smallest pups we have ever admitted. These Common pipistrelle bats now require every 2 and 3 hourly feeds respectively.

A HUGH shout out to our team of carers who work so hard to give our orphaned bat pups a second chance....🥰 Bat Conservation Trust

🌸 Meet Summer! 🌸

Summer (approx. 2 years old) came into our care after giving birth to three kittens in a garden shed. She’s been a wonderful mum, and now it’s her turn to find a loving home of her own.

This sweet and affectionate girl loves fuss, head scratches, and will reward you with loud purrs and happy flops onto her side. She’s curious, playful, and enjoys watching the world go by, so will need access to a safe outdoor space once settled.

Summer can be a little shy at times, so she would suit a home with children aged 8+. She may also be able to live with a friendly cat or a calm, cat-friendly dog following careful introductions.

Could Summer be the perfect addition to your family? ❤️🐾

RSPCA (England & Wales) What a cutie!! This day old gull chick was brought in by UK Wildlife Transporters yesterday from North Wales; their volunteers are AMAZING! Nantwichnews

RSPCA Stapeley Grange has been working with UKWT and their volunteers this summer and the partnership is meaning we are now able to react quicker to wildlife emergencies across the North West. Our reach with their volunteers stretches from as far East as Leeds across to the North Wales coastline and down to Birmingham.

Would you like to be a Volunteer Wildlife Driver for UKWT & help us to save lives? To find out more and to get involved - https://www.ukwildlifetransporters.org/want-to-be-a-transport-driver

For more information on living with gulls and what to do if you come across what you think is an abandoned gull chick - https://rb.gy/2r64yo

Here are some key points to share about gull chicks:
1) If you find a young gull that is not injured, leave it where it is so its parents can continue to feed it. It’s not unusual for young gulls to be out of the nest.

2) If you find a very young gull chick (small, fluffy, and runs rather than flies) and it is in danger, you can return it to a roof or nearby high spot like a wall - if it is safe for you to do so - or a nearby sheltered place such as a garden.

3) Only intervene if a gull is genuinely injured. The fastest way to get help is to take the gull to a wildlife rehabilitator or local veterinary practice.

4) All species of gull, their nests, and their eggs are protected by law (Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981). It is an offense to capture the birds or disturb/destroy a nest during breeding season.

RSPCA (England & Wales) Here’s one of our hand rear rabbit kits enjoying a milk feed 🍼 it is with us because it had been attacked by a cat.

It’s since had a course of antibiotics and has more than doubled its weight since admission! It’s now fully weaned and enjoying 3 meals of greens a day! It won’t be long now until it can be released 😄
