Our friends at Made For Life Foundation are hosting an event at Manor House Therapies in Edinbugh.

In partnership with Made for Life Foundation, we're delighted to announce that we are holding a Tea & Therapy™ Wellbeing Morning supporting women living with and beyond cancer.

Join us on Thursday 28th May, from 9.30am to 12.30pm at No.17 Boswall Road for a morning of care, connection and empowerment; including mini Touch Therapy treatments from qualified massage therapists.

This special event brings together expert knowledge, gentle therapeutic practices and a safe, welcoming space to rest, learn and reconnect - with yourself and with others who understand.

Co-hosted by Amanda Winwood and Iain Bell, the morning blends the healing power of touch, skincare support and whole-body wellbeing.

What You’ll Experience:

Amanda will share insights into the neuroscience of touch in facials, exploring how gentle, mindful touch can:

- Support emotional wellbeing and reduce anxiety
- Encourage relaxation and nervous system regulation
- Help rebuild confidence in your skin during and after treatment
- You’ll also receive practical guidance on caring for sensitive, changing skin, with simple nurturing rituals you can use at home.

Iain will deliver an inspiring and accessible masterclass, sharing his globally respected approach to body and mind fitness.

With more than 20 years’ experience delivering wellness programmes internationally and lecturing at the University of Edinburgh, Iain brings a wealth of knowledge to support women navigating midlife, menopause and recovery.

His session will cover:

- Bone health and maintaining strength
- Weight management and metabolism
- Cardiovascular fitness
- Muscular strength and resilience
- Mood, stress and emotional wellbeing

Alongside:

1. Gut microbiome health
2. The impact of alcohol on wellbeing
3. Practical, sustainable wellness strategies for everyday life
4.A Space to Pause, Connect & Be Supported

Tea & Therapy™ is more than an event - it is an opportunity to feel held, understood and uplifted.

Throughout the morning, you will enjoy:

- A calming and welcoming environment
- Gentle connection with others on a similar journey
- Time for reflection and conversation
- Nourishing tea and light refreshments
- Mini Touch Therapy treatments from trained therapists

This event is designed for women who are:

We are so proud to have played a part of this the BCAN- RAY study..and so you should be!!
To everyone who has donated anything to Shine Bright Foundation.

📺 Did you catch BBC Breakfast this morning?

This morning BBC Breakfast shared a powerful piece featuring band member Kimberley Walsh about the BCAN-RAY (Breast Cancer Risk Assessment in Young Women) study, supported by The Christie Charity Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal.

It was a moving and very clear look at the progress being made, including how the research helped one participant receive an early breast cancer diagnosis. Dr Sacha Howell who leads the BCAN-RAY study also spoke live in the studio.
