F I N D S - Families In Need of Direction and Support Families In Need of Direction and Support At the moment there is very little support for parents of children that are in the care system.

A lot of doors close once the child(ren) are no longer cared for by their birth parents - this does not mean these people cease being 'parents' but the criteria for help itself changes as the main focus is (and should be) the child(ren)
This can be highly traumatic for parents and the loss they feel is grief.
