As September quickly rolled around, all of our units returned to their weekly meetings. Blessed with some beautiful weather, the girls have enjoyed exploring, making new friends and earning even more badges.
September also brought our annual Division Skills Builder Day. Over 150 young members came together to achieve their Camp Skills Builder Badges. From the youngest Rainbow to the oldest Guide, the girls joined together to learn a variety of camp skills, including den building, menu planning, tent pitching, campfire song writing, gadget making and, most importantly, s'more making. (For anyone who was never a Guide, a s'more is a toasted marshmallow squashed between two chocolate biscuits. Yum!)
The afternoon finished with a campfire and a sing-song before the Guides stayed on to cook their tea, with some even camping overnight.
It was a wonderful event, made possible by the dedication, enthusiasm and hard work of our amazing volunteers. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success!
