The 16th Robert Burns Hillside Memorial Event 2025 will be held on Sunday 14th September 2025 at the Rosemount cairn, Hillside Montrose.

Programme:

Welcome: Dave Ramsay B.E.M. Secretary, Montrose Burns Club

2.00 The Hillside address: Provost of Angus, Craig Fotheringham

2.10 “The Two Men of Inverkeilor:” Dave Ramsay, B.E.M., Montrose Burns Club

2.15 “A man’s a man for a’ that:” Frank Ferguson, past President, Arbroath Burns Club

2.20 “The Laying of the Roses”

5 Roses for Robert Burns, and the four men of Hillside, by Judith Keddie)

“The Two Men of Inverkeilor.”

A rose for Isabella Christie (Adam Christie’s mother) who died when Adam was 7 years old, and is in an unmarked grave in Shetland.)

Rose to be laid at the request of Laura Christie, Cunningsburgh, Shetland. (A direct descendant of Adam)
