MK Melting Pot

MK Melting Pot the project has been financed by Jade herself through business innovation and development, Milton Keynes College, and by the goodwill of family and friends.

A community organisation that seeks to engage youth to grow to their greatest potential and beyond, alongside integrating the society of MK through campaigns and events. Melting Pot was established by Jade Adewunmi Jaiyeola, youth co-ordinator after several years experience of trying to engage the youth and assist those that are socially excluded, the inspiration of the holy spirit came for her to

engage them in developing their own businesses. OBJECTIVES

Among the number of objectives are the following

1. to develop essential citizenship, social and work skills in unemployed and disadvantaged people from deprived areas through their own creativity in the are of catering with the view of helping them back into work and fully participating in the community

2. to aid local regeneration and social inclusion and harmony, through developing ideas of local members of the community with the views of creating viable sustainable enterprises.

3. to work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure that the needs of our client groups are respected at a strategic level where key decisions are made.

4. to provide information, advice, and guidance about existing services and work collaboratively with all services providers to facilitate equality in accuracy to services.

Trevor was a special part of our MK Melting Pot journey, as both our Parish Councillor in Downs Barn, and a dedicated member of MK Melting Pot. His kindness, creativity, and belief in community shaped so much of what we do. The idea to create a growing and healing space came from him, and it feels only right that this garden carries his name and spirit forward.

This space is for all of us — a place to breathe, connect, grow, and look after our well‑being as a community. We’d love for you to join us as we honour Trevor and celebrate the start of something beautiful for Milton Keynes.

We are so proud of one of our young volunteers!
He joined us for the first time last month, a little reserved but with a passion for cooking, and wow have we seen him flourish over the weeks! 🤩🤩

He now leads our community kitchen with confidence, introducing us to curries, chutneys, soups and so many more flavourful dishes 😋

It’s wonderful to see young people grow and thrive in their skills! We can’t wait to see what else is in store for him! 🙌

A full house today! (But there’s always space for more 😉)

Today’s menu was chicken and chips with a side of salad. One end of the table did some knitting and on the other side we played Articulate (have you ever played?). 🤝👾

It was a great day, we’re grateful for all those that came down to enquire about volunteering, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for Melting Pot! 🥖🙌
