🧡 Thursday Thanks 🧡

This week, we’re giving a shout-out to Caitlin and Shane after receiving some lovely feedback from someone they supported to access an online group.

Shane helped with the referral, while Caitlin supported them over the phone when problems with their emails were making it difficult to get set up.

Sometimes something as simple as an email not working or difficulty getting online can become a real barrier to accessing support. Taking the time to work through those problems with someone can make all the difference.

The service user said they were “so grateful to Caitlin and Shane for all their support and patience”, adding: “I don’t know where I’d be without them.”

Thank you, Caitlin and Shane, for going that extra step to make sure someone could access the support available to them. 🧡

🏳️‍⚧️ We had such a lovely time joining LGBT Foundation at the Trans Pride Manchester Community Café earlier this month.

It was a great opportunity to meet people, chat about the support available through Change Grow Live Manchester and Be Smoke Free, and be part of a welcoming day celebrating community and connection.

Thank you to everyone who came over to say hello, and to LGBT Foundation for having us. 💜

We hope to see you again at the Manchester Pride Pleasure Parade on Friday 28 August🏳️‍🌈

🧡 Thursday Thanks 🧡

This week, we'd like to recognise Claire after receiving this lovely message from a family member following a meeting.

They wanted to personally thank Claire for the time, care and support she has given their loved one over the past few months, sharing:

"You have made a massive difference."

It's always special to hear about the difference our teams make not only to the people we support, but to those who care about them too.

Thank you, Claire, for the time and dedication you give to the people and families we support. 🧡

🧡 Thursday Thanks 🧡

This week, we'd like to recognise Liam and Charly after receiving a lovely update from a former service user.

After successfully completing support, they got back in touch to share photos from their first holiday abroad with their nearly one-year-old son.

They reflected on the huge changes they had made over the past year. After previously being supported while Social Services were involved and their family was on a Child in Need plan, they are now approaching one year of abstinence from cannabis.

The service user wanted to say a huge thank you to their workers for the support they received throughout their recovery journey.

Stories like this remind us that recovery is about so much more than stopping substance use – it's about rebuilding lives, strengthening families and creating new memories.

Thank you to our team for the difference you continue to make. 🧡
