Ivo has graced NQ Jazz with his playing a few times in the past few years (most recently with the might Empirical last year!), but we have to go back to emerging from the pandemic since we last brought Ivo’s own music to The Yard! Having spent a good deal of time working with large ensembles (9-piece, 12-piece and full jazz orchestra!), we are excited to welcome Ivo back in the intimate and inviting setting of the piano trio, alongside long-term collaborators Conor Chaplin on bass and Marc Michel on drums.

With three musicians who know each other so well, expect telepathic interplay and empathy, bringing to life Ivo’s music, with it’s trademark ability to make complexity & intricacy feel simple and melodic, whilst taking the listening on an epic journey. Another night not to be missed, featuring three of Europe’s most dynamic and in-demand musicians!

This Monday welcomes Grammy-nominated saxophonist to The Yard for his only UK date of this European tour. A true rising force in international jazz, Patrick has performed with legends including Wynton Marsalis and gained worldwide recognition through Emmet Cohen’s acclaimed livestream sessions!

For this special Manchester performance, Patrick brings his project NEW VISIONS, an original body of work. Joining him will be a world-class quartet featuring William Schwartzman on piano, Barry Stephenson on bass and Stefan Klein on drums. All music performed will feature on the group’s forthcoming debut album.

This is a major moment for jazz lovers and a rare chance to catch one of the scene’s most exciting artists in an intimate setting! ❤️
