Booth Centre A community centre run with people affected by homelessness. The Booth Centre is a community centre run with people affected by homelessness.

The Booth Centre provides a warm welcome, an opportunity to belong, to gain a purpose and rebuild lives. Our programme includes activities such as volunteering, creative projects and sports, as well as training and help to gain employment. We also support people to improve health and wellbeing, to access emergency accommodation, and to secure and maintain a permanent home. The Centre is run in partnership with the people who attend and they apply their skills and experience to influence strategic change.

Today is World Homeless Day, a reminder to remember the crisis on our doorstep.

Last year, 974 people died while experiencing homelessness across England and Wales. Here in Greater Manchester, thousands of people are in temporary accommodation or living on the streets. We all know that a single person experiencing homelessness is too many, let alone thousands.

Behind every statistic is a person. A person with a different life, different lived experience, and different needs.

At the Booth Centre, we’re here every day with a trauma-responsive approach, ensuring that each of the people that comes through our doors gets the holistic and specific help that they need. Ending homelessness takes all of us, and we're proud to be working together on the frontline in Greater Manchester.

We had such a great time with so many brilliant organisations at the MHP Health Information Fair yesterday!

Having housing, GPs, podiatry, mental health, and drop-in support under one roof makes accessing care so much easier. We were there sharing everything available down at the Booth Centre, from on-site nurse appointments, podiatry, and dental advice, to our wellbeing sessions and helping people register with a GP.

Hard to believe we're still out on the water in October! People from the Booth Centre have been over at Debdale this week making the most of the weather with Greater Manchester Together.

Weekly activity sessions like this give everyone in our community a chance to try something new, get active, and spend time together in a supportive space. Fancy a go? We'll be heading back out next Monday afternoon!
