⭐️ A beautiful reminder that kindness and compassion still shine through ⭐️

Yesterday, on the anniversary of the horrific events of 7th October, we received these beautiful flowers and a handwritten card with a message that genuinely touched us.

At a time when our community continues to face so much sadness and uncertainty, gestures like this mean more than words can express.

To know that people are thinking of us, standing alongside us and showing such genuine compassion is incredibly moving.

To the thoughtful person who took the time to send these, thank you. You may never realise just how much your kindness means.

Sometimes, it’s the simplest gestures that have the greatest impact. ❤️

Almost one year on from the terrorist attack at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation, we invite people from across our city to come together to remember and stand united as one Manchester Jewish community.

Join us on Monday 31 August for a Communal Memorial Service, beginning at 8.00pm (please arrive from 7.30pm).

Together, we will honour the memories of Melvin Kravitz z'l and Adrian Daulby z'l, recognise those who have been affected, reflect on the strength and resilience of our community and reaffirm our determination to stand against anti-Jewish racism in all its forms.

Please register to join us for this important commemoration.

📣 Understanding pacing and timing 👀👇

We had the pleasure of delivering a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expedition Workshop with the fantastic young people from Manchester Maccabi Community & Sports Club

The session brought together two groups at different stages of their DofE journey:
▪️ 13 young people preparing for their very first Bronze Expedition.
▪️ 20 Silver participants reflecting on their recent Practice Expedition as they prepare for their Qualifying Expedition.

Throughout the workshop we explored what makes a successful expedition, including:

✔️ Navigation and route planning
✔️ Pacing and time management
✔️ Self-sufficiency
✔️ Importance of teamwork,

For our Silver participants, it was a valuable opportunity to reflect on their recent expedition with us, celebrating what they achieved while identifying lessons that will help them succeed during their upcoming Qualifying Expedition.

For those embarking on Bronze, it was all about building confidence, understanding what to expect.

We can’t wait to get both groups out into the hills over the coming weeks and watch their confidence continue to grow.

Good luck to all these Bronze and Silver participants - you’ve got this! 🙌
