It's almost Tuesday 😃 and as always, we're on the plot (rather than losing it as normal 😅) but it's slightly different for the next few weeks 😊
Allotment will start at 12noon 😃 we'll work for a bit, then have lunch before heading to Broughton House to do some gardening up there with their residents 😊
As always, everyone is welcome on the plot to grow, w**d, do a bit of bed maintenance or just sit, relax and unwind in nature 😊

Today's fun facts are about today's film...Zulu
Chief Mangosuthu Buthelezi, a South African Royal descendant and politician played his own Grandfather King Cetshwayo.
One of the film's stars, Stanley Baker, unknowingly bought the Victoria Cross belonging to Lieutenant John Chard. It was only discovered after Baker's death.
The film shot Michael Caine to stardom making him a household name....and not a lot of people know that 😅

A beautiful morning on the allotment 😊
Thanks Tracy Walton for coming to help.
The allotment is coming to an end soon, just a few things left to harvest. But we'll be putting some new spring bulbs in and our two new grapevine (one red, one white) this Tuesday 😃🥂 but nature is still enjoying the late summer sunshine especially the butterflies and damselflies ❤️
Damselfly have existed for over 300 million years, here long before dinosaurs 🦕 and they can fly sideways and backwards to catch their prey 😁

The Tower Ballroom opened in 1899 and has a sprung dance floor made from 30,602 individual blocks of walnut, mahogany and oak. There's also 14 huge chandeliers weighing 500kg each 😱
