As Volunteers' Week comes to a close, we'd like to say one final thank you to every volunteer who gives their time to support YLF🧡

Throughout the week, we've celebrated the incredible impact our volunteers have on the lives of young people across Kent and Medway. Now, we'd love to share one final story.

This short film tells one young person's journey and shows how the support of a volunteer can make a lasting difference. It also highlights the ways you can get involved and help change a young person's future.

Today, we're celebrating our incredible volunteer Befrienders, who provide consistency and support to young people in care, when they need it most.

Over the last year, our befrienders supported 66 young people, giving approximately 3,240 hours of their time!

Every conversation, activity and shared experience helps build confidence, reduce isolation and create positive connections.

Today we're celebrating our incredible volunteer mentors, who provide encouragement, guidance and a consistent source of support for young people across Kent and Medway.

Over the last year, our mentors supported 284 young people, giving 2,063 hours of their time to help young people build confidence, overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Today we're celebrating our amazing volunteer youth workers, who help create safe, supportive spaces for young people across Kent and Medway.

Over the last year, our volunteers supported the delivery of 1,160+ hours of frontline youth work, across 396 youth group sessions, reaching 240 young people, within our Legends Programme.

Today, we're shining a spotlight on our incredible volunteer Appropriate Adults, who support vulnerable adults and young people in custody across Kent and Medway.

Over the last year, they supported 1,308 people and gave 6,591 hours of their time.

That's 6,591 hours spent making life changing impacts during some of the most challenging moments in a person's life.

As Volunteers' Week begins, we're celebrating the incredible people who give their time to support young people through YLF.

To our mentors, befrienders, appropriate adults, accompanying adults, youth workers, trustees, and all our volunteers... thank you. Your dedication helps us reach hundreds of young people every year and deliver the vital frontline support they need.

Quite simply, we couldn't do what we do without you.

Next week is Volunteers' Week, and we’re excited to shine a spotlight on the incredible difference our volunteers make every single day💙

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing stories and celebrating the impact of our amazing team of volunteers across the county. Their time, energy, and commitment help us support young people in so many ways.

We’re also looking forward to coming together at our annual BBQ next Friday to say a huge thank you and celebrate everything they do🥳

From Sno-Tubing and spinning down the slope to racing down the UK’s longest toboggan track🛷, yesterday was packed with laughter, thrills, and endless fun!

We hope you’ve all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend and are enjoying the warm weather too. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water, stay cool, and look after yourselves!💧☀️
