Named in honor of the Duke of Kent The ‘white table’ event each January is normally the time when the previous WM presents his charities with their cheques and allows them to promote the good work that they do and is open to members, guests, family and friends. This event is always well supported. Other events are held during the year including a charity motorcycle ride organised by a Lodge member
, followed by a BBQ, this is well supported by members, family, friends and from other Lodges as well, raising considerable funds for various charities. The Lodge of Instruction (LOI) is a relaxed place to learn ritual, (make mistakes); get to know Lodge members, enjoy the company of friends, this results in excellent ritual being presented at regular meetings, members of other Lodges are also welcomed when they find it difficult to attend their own L of I. The L of I continues during the summer on a fortnightly basis but is also well supported. Lodge social functions are varied and are an informal way for family members to get to know other members of the Lodge. The Ladies night is held in June each year normally at a different location. around the Maidstone area, attendance is around 100. Informal curry or Chinese evenings are arranged on an ad hoc basis and are well attended by members and their guests. Being a large Lodge with many members, outside interests are many and varied including football, golf, music, motorcycling and shooting
Lodge members are always keen to support external events and try to have a stand at local summer fetes explaining what Freemasonry is all about.
